I was almost hit by a car today and that made me think of an idea for vert.

Say your athlete has plateaued at a certain box jump/barrier jump height.

Have a car a couple inches higher drive at your athlete whose escape to the side is blocked.... plateau broken

I use this methode. Side effects can be shock, pain, broken bones, or instant death.

Or light it on fire. Probably easier to do than spikes. Throw a bit of gasoline on the roof and you're good to go.

Cut You In Half Press:

A barbell with a double sided razor blade bar, in the middle. So, you can just barely touch chest and then press the bar, but if you fail, it will chop your torso in half.

Even a regular barbell would do that, provided there's enough weight.

Just ask J-Mike :D
Current PR status:

All time squat: 165 kg/Old age squat: 130 kg
All time deadlift: 184 kg/Old age deadlift: 140 kg
All time bench: 85 kg/Old age bench: 70kgx5reps
All time hip thrust (same as old age hip thrust): 160kgx5reps

This is to improve your natural glute ham raise:

- strapped into natural glute ham bench
- hands are handcuffed behind your back
- there's a spike coming out of the floor right off the edge of the glute ham bench
- if you don't control the ECC and bring your self back up, you impale your face right on the spike

level 7.
