Common wealth Games

I didn't realize it had already started. I was expecting to start around july.

A lot of medals already won in the early days. Gonna catch up and watch tomorrow. Want to watch weighlifting, athletics and maybe boxing don't know.

Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

Pakistan has a small team but already won a medal: bronze in men's 62kg weightlifting. Dude snatched 132kg, which is extremely legit.

Their lone female track athlete's bio blurb includes this: "Selected by her teacher for athletics competitions because of her height. When she told her teacher she did not want to try athletics, she was told that if she did not, she would be kicked out of school." Cool, cool, cool.

Their lone male track athlete is a javelin thrower.

Two athletics competitors from a country of 200+ million is pretty sad. They really only care about cricket here.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

Very true. Most Pakistanis aspire towards cricket and few in football. It is sad.

I looked for it on tv, nothing showing it. Haven't found any streams either.

I think ESPN should be covering it on TV.

Day 5 & Australia currently has 101 medals (38 Golds) and Australia has a population of <25 million. Literally half of those medals have come from swimming though...

I was hoping Trae Williams could make the 100m final...it wasn't to be.

Browning was soo close to making the 100m final!

South African Henricho Bruintjies ran the exact same time as Browning – 10.26s - but he was given second and the automatic qualification and not Browning when the time was taken to a third decimal place. He lost a place in the final by a thousandth of a second. Trae Williams ran 10.28. Gemili made the final for England but he has now withdrawn due to injury.

Man yohan blake was stumbling for a few metres. He wasn't able to stabilize himself and then once at top speed he was just falling back as his top speed was not at it's peak. unfortunate for blake
