If I can find a cheap pair, I might give them a try.. I've always wanted too considering a few people I know swear by them (and they have good reviews on here). Even though they are 8 oz, it would possibly make sense to use them in training for longer distances, then slip on my ~3.6 oz NB's for shorter races.

ran in them tonight.. not too happy with them. Also, they were probably a hair too small ... so i'm returning them.

Instead of getting the next 1/2 size up, i'm just going with what I know works: NB MRC5000v2's ...

Quote
The RC5000v2 is one of the best shoes I've tested. It offers remarkable cushioning for its weight, given it's so light. My calculated cushioning-to-weight ratio (AKA Benefit) is 9.1, far higher than any other shoe. It's as well cushioned as some shoes that weigh nearly three times as much, and while it's upper is unpadded, it's not uncomfortable. I'd recommend trying the RC5000v2 out as it's a surprising shoe and it carries my "best of the best rating". (I use The Science of Running Shoes as the basis of how I test running shoes and what you should look for in a running shoe.)

This is exactly what i've experienced.. There's no reason I couldn't run the same mileage in these shoes, as I would in Adios's.. I've run ~25 miles in my NB RC5000v2's and I was fine. I've run several 12-15 milers in them, no problem. The Adios's felt like heavy pillows.

Back to what I know works.. not wasting another run in these adios's. Plus a few of my toenails feel wrecked.
