FUCK YEA!!!!!! PLEAAAASSSEEEEE tell us you have video!!!!

sadly, no. i wasn't even expecting to jump today, so i didn't bring my phone.  >:( but given how high i got up -- 5 PR jumps, including the dunk -- i think it's only a matter of time.

No biggie. The first is just that... the first. Many many more to come. Especially now that youve cleared the mental hurdle. The first time I dunked I swear I was having an off day, the timing was just THERE. Later that week when i was fresher...easy stuff. Youve got this man!

Got some more PRs lately, did a bodyweight push press while on the road. And today I hit 6x182.5kg and 5x187.5kg  on RDL. Also 8x180kg, 6x192.5kg and 6x200kg on hip thrusts. And got a >bodyweight hang clean while messing around. Should be able to PR there if i do it consistently but not bad for the first attempt at the lift.
Training for balance in GPP and SPP.

5x187.5? How can you manage to hold the bar in your hands at that weight for the duration of a 5 rep set?

hook grip bro, im not one to use starps. I think if i did the lift at home, i'd have got more reps cause the knurling is sharper and i can use more chalk without low key hiding it (this gym wont allow it if i am noticed).

So this happened today: PR'd my full squat clean at 100kg!  :personal-record: This was the first time I was able to full clean those two plates. Then I got a bit overzealous and tried 110kg which I'm able to powerclean on a good day. Was able to catch it but I had so much backward lean that I fell backwards with the bar as I wasn't properly able to drop it. The bar hit my stomach pretty hard but luckily I didn't really injure myself. That shit was scary and kinda dumb. I'm probably gonna stay with the powervariations for now. Not worth the time/effort to focus on learning the full lifts atm. Wish I had a video of that failed lift so I would be able to look at it. haha! :uhhhfacepalm: :uhhhfacepalm:

That's scary... I used to always think about that when I would clean and especially snatch, since I was doing them in a commercial gym with no place to drop it.

wtf? lucky you're ok.. sounds like you could have gotten injured.

damn!

im trying to think of the worst gym fail i've had.. can't really remember many, lucky for me I always had safety pins set for squatting. Actually, I think the worst was maybe trying 60 lb. on standing DB overhead press and the DB was tilted too much, and then all of the plates slid off, even though they were clipped. Almost caught me in the head, then foot. but I slipped em`.

Yeah I got pretty lucky I think... was just sitting there for several minutes afterwards thinking "oh shit that was close" my scariest gym moment for sure. Luckily I wasn't wearing straps otherwise that would definitely have been a free ride to snap city. 😳
