I've had the most incredible dream... I've never heard anything similar yet, so to me it's a "wonder" of a dream if you will:

First off, I remember I was playing basketball on an outside court and the coach of that "streetball team" was Stan Van Gundy. It's interesting because I went to bed thinking about how Orlando is going to play Indiana that night (middle of the night here in Romania), and SVG is the coach of the Magic. Then I remember I needed another basketball and met with Miles from here, who was going to the gym at that location and he gave me one ball that was kind of slippery and then another one that was more "streetball" and with better grip.

THEN - this incredibile thing happened: I somehow went to listen to a music videoclip. This clip was being sang by 5 people, looked like a 70's band. The main singer was from Romania but moved to the USA some time ago, and looked a bit like Benny Hill.

When they started singing - it was just incredible. The music was incredible and their voices were incredible. The voices were digitized - meaning the voices were going through synthesizers (you know, like in the 70's).

The incredible thing is this - how could the human brain create a music dynamics between five voices, percussion instruments, synthesizers, sincops (there were these as well, where the music would stop and one voice would be heard) ON THE FLY?????????????????? How can that even be possible??? I mean, I could accept that if it didn't make sense as music, like random music "ramblings". But this song, everything about it, made PERFECT sense like it was god-written if you will, like a great composer made it

It just blows my mind. Think about it - songs are being made over long periods of time, with notes, instrument dynamics being considered, analysis etc. How could my brain create something that made perfect sense ON THE FLY???

And no, I can't reproduce the song, but I remember it to great detail in a non-musical way. I remember the clip, the faces singing, one was entering a bar and then the instruments stopped (sincope) and there was a lone voice singing, I remember all this, but I don't remember the music. I remember these things and I can associate the figures with what was happening music wise - but other than the voices being synthesized, I can't give any further details. It just made perfect sense in my head and I don't think, one bit, that it just an impression because I have a "vivid" memory of the song but I can't express it.

To me, this is just one of the most unbelievable things I've ever been through, and probably will be a long time from now.

PS. Oh yeah, and I remember CharlieA returned to TVS. In my dream that is. He was saying a big mistake was to eat something, and then immediately try to eat again (wtf).

a lucid dream
by Frank M. Lin on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 4:43pm

~12/10/2010 forgot to write down the time i created this note initially...  now it go updated.  arrg.

whoa, just had a weird and super lucid dream in the quick pre-gym nap.  i dreamed a huge ass earth quake hit, biggest ever i've been in.  and i've been in 2 fairly big ones, the 1989 San Francisco@ 6.9/7.1 and the 1999 @ 7.1/7.3 in Taiwan (which i thought i was going to die in that one).  but this one i was just in was far crazier and felt so real.  but the crazy part was in the dream couple people started to pray to buddah or their god not to die and i started doing a chi-kong stance and i start to levitate 3" off the groud (it was as if i was sucking up the earth quake energy), and then i couldn't see any more, it was  as if i was transported to another place for several seconds, until the quake was over.  then i came back, still floating, then landed.  it was kind of at the hotel of some sort and i was even talking to some hotel staff, "hey that was crazy.  your building is very well built and still standing"...

12/24/2010 5am

what the hell!  another vivid dream about an earth quake, that's 3 times in couple of weeks.  there was another earth quake dream like last week, also very clear as well at the time but i chose not to write it down.  is this a premonition a big quake is about to hit taiwan or california?!?!  since i'm planning to head back to cali very soon...  this time it's odd as hell, not only is it the longest quake i've been in the whole freaking mountain was "running".  so bizarre.

i doubt i'm worrying about anything deep inside.   i'm a happy camper and a worry free person and i'm not under any pressure for anything really.  what's getting to me a little bit is not only has it been 3 earthquake dreams in the last month.  they were all some HUGE ASS earth quakes.  like freaking magnitude 8.0+ stuff...

I had a dream last night, already forgot most of it...

I was in a African-American dominant place...for some WEIRD reason, I just KNOW it's Ghana. Played some ball on the freeway, had to jump every single car that came, like actually jump over it...and this black guy was sitting on the rim swatting all my shots...

really weird dream, this is what happens when you can't sleep for 4 days

ya that's interesting how the brain can manufacture such impressive "music" and scenery.. it really is a masterpiece in evolution.

been dreaming alot lately. had 2 dreams last night but only remembered one of them.

i was in nyc for some reason with my mom and i was either stalking her or she completely forgot about me because I was behind her as she got in her car and started driving. I began to chase after her but struggled to keep up as she was driving. eventually, i caught up to her but it turns out the car i was chasing was the same car as my mom's but it was some random japanese lady. Then, on the other side of the road, I saw my mom pull up to a light but she was driving a different car. I was about to run across the street to get her attention but she made an illegal left turn on red and ended up t-boning the truck from the new zero calorie pepsi commercials. (the commercial with the pepsi in the nfl combine)  the truck was pushed into an asian grocery market, eliciting screams from the street. Somehow, my moms tiny 14 year old car was unaffected and only suffered a minor dent as it sped off.
