standing vert jumps. On a good CNS day I can grab it with both and I noticed watching this I take a little hop as I drop down. Never knew I did that. :/ So I guess its not technically a SVJ but a weird hop jump thing. :D

Pretty much all the reactive two-foot jumpers that I know do that. They just can't jump off SVJ.
Current PR status:

All time squat: 165 kg/Old age squat: 130 kg
All time deadlift: 184 kg/Old age deadlift: 140 kg
All time bench: 85 kg/Old age bench: 70kgx5reps
All time hip thrust (same as old age hip thrust): 160kgx5reps

It's completely unconscious, I never realized it until this video. I'm going to do another one but I'm afraid if I think don't do this/do this the jump itself will suffer horribly. Oh well, going to try anyways.

Ughhh late updates. Shit weekend.

Friday Aug 23 2013

Bodyweight 172-174lbs. Good energy, great focus. Definitely ready to lift.

warmup and jumps

Banded squats:
225x5 275x1 315x1 365x1, 365x1 325x5 x5, 325x5 275x4. Backed off the top set 10lbs, got the 325 sets easier than expected. Hell yea.

paused calf raise:
610lbs x8, x8, x8.

hypers:
3 sets of 10

back/bicep/heavy core circuits. Shot around and jumped very well afterwards. Awesome workout.

Sat Aug 24 2013

exact opposite of Friday. Drained from a double at work, then fell asleep right before lifting rocking my daughter to sleep. Never really woke back up.

energy non existent. Focus....sleepy.
Bodyweight 172-175lbs.

Deficit deadlift:
225x5 275x1 325x1 335x1, 335x1 315x3 x3, 315x3 225x5. Shit. Just just.

Jumpsquats:
50lbs x5, x5, BW x3. Bleh.

Ham curls:
120lbs x6, x6, x6. At least I got my assistance lift. :/

Skipped shooting and jumping, had nothing left.

moral: no napping directly before a workout lol

Monday Aug 27 2013

Bodyweight: 172-174lbs.
Injuries/soreness: none.
Energy/focus: Ridiculous. I was determined not to have a shitty sessionafter Saturdays debacle. CNS was definitely on point and very focused mentally. Great feeling.

Warmups and jumps (I've been consciously eliminating the 'hop' in my SVJ attempts. We'll see Thursday if it helped. )

Banded squats:
225x5 275x1 315x1 385x1, 365x1 325x5 x5, 325x5 275x5. Didn't get all the way parallel on the 385 so no PR, just wanted to try it. Workset 325s flew up. If I have this kind of energy Friday I'll aim for 335s.

Paused calf raise:
610lbs x8, x8, x8.

Hypers
10, 10, 10.

Light lunges:
60lb x4 each leg.

Back/bicep/heavy core stuff. Shot around and submax jumped for 20 mins or so. Great great workout. Very pleased!

I'm going to wipe the memory card on the phone before tomorrow and try to get some more footage, hopefully I'll be more awake but 6am is damn early for me lol!

Your editing is indeed subpar, But you land that one hander off the glass with ease.

Next level stuff as far as I'm concerned.

Nicely done sir :highfive:
5'10"- 185lbs - 45 yrs - reach - 7'6" (90") - 27" SVJ - 30" RVJ - 245# Full squat

Thanks Loopie. Yea, I'm still learning and playing with this software and I'm semi lost. Hoping to get better with time. Really looking at some GoPros as I could use them for this AND for the cars but it'll be later this year before I pick one up probably.

2nd on the purple octopus. So easy to use and small enough to carry pretty much anywhere.

Mate the one hander off the glass looked sweet.

Another (real lol) Standing vert test! CNS was definitely more recovered today but I can feel my body running out of energy quickly. Two more sessions this week and I'll have completed my 6 week "strength" cycle, I'll evaluate then whether to deload or try and peak first.I have some more vids from today, had a bit more bounce but I can't time lobs at all, I always slow up and it kills my jumps. :(

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqdktvxBH9Q

I'm guessing this is around 34 or so.
