Thanks Coges!

Got back into some heavy deadlifts this morning. Weighed in at 178lbs.

warmups and some sub par box jumps. ME isnt great right now. Feels off.

Warmed up deadlifts to a 445 single which was hard but not like i was expecting.

405 for 5x5. last set was brutal. ugh. going to be sore for sure.
135 x15 for a backoff and some reps.

Light weight assistance circuit and minor core work. Dont wanna wear myself out too bad. Plan to go shoot some Sat or Sun and see where im at jumping wise!

No no lol! Id be shocked if i could pull a 5x5 at 405 fresh off an extended break!

I did some lighter volume work for the last 2 weeks. First week I worked to some 315 si gles and it was easy. So.did a 3x5 on 315. Last week did a 405 single and it felt good so i did a 5x5 at 315. This week i went for it. :)

Still gonna have some DOMS lol

Squatted yesterday night

Top single was 385. 5x5 at 315. Knee feels weird. :/

135lb BSS. Some calf raises and some box jumps. Not a bad workout but definitely lacking some pop.

Jumped today albeit only for about 30 mins including some shooting. No time before the gym closed to really get into it. Knee was sore ish then got better towards the end. Will keep and eye on it.

What's up with the knee? For some reason I'm recalling quad tendinopathy?

Yessir. The left one that i screwed up in high school is still going strong but the right one flares up here and there. Last year was when it got bad and i had to see a PT and take some time off. I want to believe the current situation is just from not using it lately and itll slowly work its way out.

Squatted monday.

Some asshat broke the scale soooo....I may be fat i may not idk. lol Im going to estimate low 180s.

Warmups and some box jumps. Box jumps were much more explosive today in warmups.

bar x10, x10 (grease the groove lol) 135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 365 x1, 385 x1. 385 had some pop. Much better.

315 5x5 was way smoother and explosive. Each set SS'd with a couple box jumps.

Finished with some step ups, calf raises and leg extensions. Minor core work again.

Im not sure if i felt great today because i had to skip Thursday's planned deadlifts and was super fresh or if eating a little better helped lol! Probably a combo of the 2. Keeping core work body weight for now and lower reps. Can feel.core getting worked from heavy squats still so dont want to overwork myself.

Didnt do back/bi or chest tri on Tue Wed and had to move PC day to Fri instead of Thursday this week. Crazy week. Guess im rested tho!

Did manage to go shoot some Wed after work for about 45 mins. Simple shooting and dribbling warmup then some pull up.jumpers and such. Nothing hard but my shot and handle felt much better at the end. Jumped a little but the knee was sore so I only got a couple 2 step jumps in. Couple one handed dunks. Knee got better after some jumps...Im thinking it just needs to be thoroughly warmed up before anything even remotely max effort. So....

Late night deadlifts tonight. Started at Midnight lol

BW: who knows.

warmups and some box jumps. tried the jumps differently. normally i go through a dynamic warmup...quick static stretch to check flexibility/soreness then go straight to the "tall" box. This time I started on the small box for 10 submax jumps. Then the middle box for 5. Theny normal sets on the tall box. Knee liked it I believe and i felt more explosive (could be the rest tho)

Deadlifts
135 x10, 225 x5, 315 x1, 405 x1, 455 x1. Well damn! Got it easier tham expected too!

405 4x5. 405 x3. x2. :( last set got out of sorts. sigh.

BSS, calf raises, ham curls and glute kickback circuits. Higher rep med weight stuff. Shewwww. Feels good. Im off to bed lol

BTW. Been catching up on peoples journals. Keep it up guys. Raptors post makes me sad.

And didnt we used to have a recently posted list? Its gone for me now.

Just finished hooping some. Played some 21 to warm up. Tried a 2 hander off a walk up and got it clean...

so....45 min dunk sesh lol

Phone stopped recording a few times due to texts and it missed my best jump and definitely my best dunk. Jump was 45-46ish. Felt real bouncy. Rest of the time was probably 42-44" stuff. Not bad for the first time back. Im a little surprised.

I'll get the vids put up in a little. Going to go lift now. back and biceps.
