Thanks guys!!

Hit back/bid yesterday and chest tris today. Some plyos and jumps yesterday but cut back the volume. Today I shot around after lifting and did a couple dunks....timing is waaaaay off right now. Knee is ehh...soreish but no sharp pains once im warmed up fully. Missing a few inches it feels like on vert...body is probably compensating a little for the knee :/ will continue the ice and ibuprofen routine.

Well....fuck.

Got back home last night, squats today.

Got pinned in 405. :( worked up to it...365 no problem. 405 on the walkout was fine but halfway down my stomach bubbled and my brain said....dont shit yourself. And it was all over lol! So i just sat in the hole with stretching for a few seconds then dumped it. Weird...it didnt feel heavy in the whole at all. I could breathe and talk. Im pretty sure not eating breakfast+being 178lbs this morning from shitting and puking andy mental fuck screwed me.

Oh well. 315lbs 3x5 and 225 2x10 for some volume and speed. Said Fuck the rest of my lifts and did core, box jumps and depth jumps.for about 20 mins. Might play later if i can stop getting sick.

Also...time to go back to some volume...going to write a new program, probably have a heavy squat and deadlift day with some volume then have an explosive and assistance day with mostly speed work (hang clean, speed quarter squats, front squats) to try and express power better.

my brain said....dont shit yourself

This is pretty much the worst thought to have in a public gym mid squat and easily justifiable on the list of why to dump the bar  ;D

I had to read that bit a few times to work out what 'it' was

Alright....time to get back into this. Squat day!!!

BW: 182lbs.
Injuries/Soreness: right knee tendinitis, went away during warm up squats.

Dynamic warm up and some box jumps.

Squats: 135 x5 paused, 225 x3 paused, 315 x1, 365x1, 385 x1. Top single quite explosive. Definitely had 405 in me but didnt want to push to hard first day "back".

365 2 sets of 3. 315 3x5. First quad pump ive felt in awhile. Sweet.

Circuits (3x): stepups (120lbs x10 each leg), back extensions  (45lbs x10), and calf raises (570lbs x12). Core work.

Legs feel like jello. Tried a few SVJs on the court as i was leaving, barely grabbing rim so 32ish. Whew. Lol

Hit back/biceps/core Tuesday afternoon. Decent session.  Added an extra set of rows, lat pull downs and rear delts...looked awesome lol!

Wed...finally got around to doing what I shouldve always been doing... a light weight speed day. Ive been feeling 'slower' with all these heavy lifts and I havent felt 'springy' in a while soooo....easing my way back into it.

182lbs BW, knee is ehhh...sigh. ice and stretch.

Banded Jump squats: 135lbs (+bands) 3x5.

Banded speed squats (full atg): 225lbs (+bands) 1x10, 225lbs 1x8 drop setted to 135lbs 1x8. Felt myself slowing down on the second set so I dropped down some weight and repped a few more.

Hang clean: 3x3 at 135lbs.

FS: 2x8 at 135lbs. Still havent found a comfortable wsy to hold the bar on these :/

Skipped hip thrusts and straight leg deads because i was short on time. Bah.

Sometimes....I hate people.

Was supposed to lift chest/tricep tonight after a rec league game I got invited to but...not going to happen.

Showed up at tip off and warmed up...came in slighlty warm with 14mins to go in the first half. Promptly airballed a 3 in the corner. Ok...that sucked but whatever lol! Drive left next possession...go up...get my arm ripped off the ball, try to spin it off glass on my way down with the right hand...no call. This makes me slightly not happy. Figure thats how its going to be so at the 12 min mark I decide to drive again and go through contact for a layup. Yup. Get hacked...no call. Doesnt matter, make the layup this time. Drop a 17ft step back jumper off a crossover and come out at the 11 min mark.

Spend the rest off the half and half time finishingmy warmup lol!

As we start the 2nd half up 41-37 I hear the guy im guarding (and vice versa) say to his teammates "gimme the ball, I can take him...hes not that good".  :raging: Alright. I actually size the guy up, about 6'2/215lbs, not fat but not athletically built. just stocky. No real handle or jumper from what ive seen. By now...im apparently incensed enough my team can see it lol! I get the ball to start the half. NBA range 3....wet. Come down...grab a defensive board. Coast to coast for a finger roll.  I can feel it now... Over the next 9 mins we extend the lead up to 21 points...I have 4 3s. A couple layups and another mid range jumper. Blocked his shit 4 times and basically taken him out of the game. I feel fantastic. At the 8 min mark I hit him with a snatch back cross that left him turned around and lost. I decide to shoot the 3 left handed and bury it. I figure this is enough so I sub out and watch from the bench as my teammates keep the lead around 25-26 points.  I figure Im done for the night until one of our guards steps on a guys foot and rolls his ankle. :( I come back in with one goal...dunk on someone. I get it two possessions in and throw in a baseline one hander semi clean on a secondary break. Next time down the guy from earlier switches back onto me...i hit him with a hesitation move and go baseline and im 2 steps in front and thinking easy slam...yea...not happening. As im going up i saw him jumpwith his arms towards ME, not the ball...knowing i was completely defense-less I tuck the ball down and am thinking reverse layup maybe depending on how hard he hits me. Wrong again...dude fucking shoves me in the hip/low back area and launched my ass out of bounds (years of bball instinct took over and i tried to meekly flip the ball iver the backboard lol..i missed)...anyway...i landed quite awkwardly and tweaked my lower back apparently.  Didnt realize this til i got home and started stretching...at the time I was more interested in trying to get past my teammates to beat this guys ass (or try to lol). So hear i am...typing while laying on a heating pad. Fuck.

We won obviously. The last min was uneventful. He got ejected. Blah blah. Im gna be major pissed if i cant deadlift tomorrow.

A story that summarizes perfectly why I don't play ball pretty much at all now: because it's full of retards and I can live happily without getting injured/in fights because a spherical object must pass through a ring.

I can let others worry about that stuff.
