Thanks Loopie! It was something new, wasn't quite sure how it would turn out but I like it.

Ive been training regularly except for last weekends trip to the beach with the girlfriend which caused us to skip Friday (my deadlift day, was going to go for 385 bah)(and yes, she lifts, its awesome) because we arrived so late Friday night. My current schedule looks like this:

Mon: squat
Tues: rec league
Wed: back/bi
Thur: rec league
Fri: deadlift
Sat: rest
Sun: chest/tri/plyos

Going to stick to this until league play is over in a few weeks then do a 2-3 week explosive block and see what happens.

Bodyweight is consistent at 182-184lbs now. I think I can drop 4-5lbs if i REALLY tighten up my diet so we shall see.

I got 365 on Monday and had a buddy video it for me. It felt 'easy' but I was surprised how quick it went up when i saw the vid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUwjET4styg

I've been playing ok in this league, teams loaded so I don't feel pressured to do much. Its nice. Had a few big blocks so far and one putback dunk but other than that Ive been shooting 3s and driving/dishing, we're winning so thats the important thing.

Rec league game was a blowout, we won by 40 something on cruise control. Played 2 more pickup games afterwards, then dunked with some buddies for 15-20 mins.

Badass squat, you are toying with 365#ATG, so much strength and power!!!
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

---

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

Thanks Vag! It felt real solid but I was definitely surprised by the video.

Weighed in at 182.7lbs today pre training. Deadlifted 385 for my top single with mild effort, I know I have more in me. 335 7 sets of 3 and a lot of SL assistance work; BSS, ham curls, glute kick machine etc. Also got some SVJs around 36" during warmups (jumping onto a 36" box, minimal to no knee bend).

I feel like I have more left in me to go at this BW of low 180s. Debating continuing the strength block until i get stuck then hitting the explosive block rather than switching in 2 weeks. :/ Hmmmm.

I incredibly excited for this summer if i can stay healthy/injury free!

Squat day yesterday!!! Weighed in a little heavy at 184.5lbs :( Not real bad but I don't want to start putting on a lb here or there and suddenly be 190 lol!

Squats: warmups to a top single of 375lb x1! New PR! I feel like I may have 385 in me but this was definitely more towards my max than last weeks 365.

7 sets of 3 with 325lbs.

Step ups, lunges, calf raises and a ton of core work in a circuit after squats.

Game tonight then back/bi on Wed.

Friday April 10 2015

warmups and some jumps/plyos for activation

weight at 185.2lbs in gym clothes/shoes. Probably 183ish sans clothes lol!

Deadlifts:
135 x5, 225 x3, 315 x1, 345 x1, 395 x1!!! Wasnt 'easy' but smooth and controlled with no form issues.

345 7 sets of 3.

Circuits 4x10 each: BSS (130lbs), ham curl (145lbs), seated calf raise (150lbs), glute kick machine (130lbs) and straight leg deads (135lbs). Dear god. Usually i break up the circuit with core work but tried it all with 30 sec rest between sets. Fuck. Lol! Pump is real. Ended with 500 reps of various weighted core stuff, usually i get 800-1000 reps in but i was deaddddd. Awesome session!

Successfully got in a chest/tri day....which is rare :D lol

Anyway...felt good, wont be able to shoot tomorrow for shit. My girl wasnt done with her leg day yet so I messed around with some hang cleans to try and get my form back for the planned explosive block in a few weeks. 135 x a bunch and some 185 singles. Pleasant surprise with how they felt.

Bleh. Had to skip squatting yesterday. :( Came down with something Sunday night/Monday morning and have dropped 8lbs so far. Hoping Im almost through it and we'll see what happens. Hoping to go light on Friday, maybe just squat and dead 225 to keep the movement fresh and see how i feel. Bah.

On the mend....trying to eat to gain some weight back but still eat clean.

Dicked around in the weight room yesterday while the woman did back/biceps/core. Warmed up with squats to 315 then did a bunch of singles at 315. Same thing with deadlifts. Can tell Im weak at 178lbs lol but it felt easier than i was expecting. Hoping to be back tight wherei was in a week or two. Shot around for about 30 mins afterwards.

Thanks LBSS, being sick sucks.

Today im gna do some light back/biceps work and maybe take the car put to the rod run in town, looks like this ones a good one. Traffic is stopped everywhere lol

Thanks. I got released today at noon and we still have no real idea what the what the hell is going on. Yay. The docs said i could resume regular activities if I was up to it....so I went and hooped because we we're in the 2nd round of a rec league tourney. Im dead tired after only 21 mins but played ok. 17 points and some boards and a couple steals in a blowout win. Thank god because I'd be back in the hospital if i had to go all 40 lol! Plan is to try and take it easy and resume lifting Monday. We shall see. Thanks for the well wishes guys!

Well...didn't exactly take it easy but i feel ok, probably 85-90% to where I was at so not too bad.

Rec league tourney game Thursday night, quarterfinals. Close game throught out, I tried to keepy minutes low knowing if we won we had semis an hour later. Played 25ish minutes and got the game winning layup with 4.3 seconds left to go up 109-108. Got hammered on the way up across the right arm and shoulder as he was intentionally trying to foul but he just couldn't jump high enough to really affect the shot so I just laid it in lefty on the way down. Felt good to hit a game winner again. :)

We got trashed in the second half of the semis tho, up 9 at half time and lose by 12. SMH. Too many guys trying to get back all the points on one possession vs just playing the game and letting a run happen. Bah.

Felt ok Friday so I deadlifted, definitely not as strong as I was. Went top single 385 and it was a little harder than a few weeks backs 395. Got all my reps in though including assistance work.

Did chest and tris along with some light plyos today. Plan to shoot around and squat tomorrow!

Got bored...went and shot and ended up having a mini dunk session for some high school kids. One was realllly close to getting one so i gave h some pointers and tossed him some oops. Surprised myself once i gotwarmed up, was pretty bouncy. Caught some nice stuff off the glassand backironed a mill off the glass. Got way up on a shitty toss lob that i threw too high. Felt awesome!
