what is mini-squat.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

Also what happened to high-rep-low-intensity lifting???
Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?

what is mini-squat.

like, i oscillate between deep and slightly above parallel, just doing really small reps.

need to play with variations like this because im kind of bored lifting lower body, and high rep squatting is brutal.. im still going to high rep squat, but, sometimes i need to throw other stuff in.. so i plan to do that with the mini's, maybe some paused squatting etc.

hah ya, my fatigue was low, so on a whim i decided to just see what weight i could safely move without over-stressing.. 235 x 5 did feel unfortunately heavier than i imagined it would, but it wasnt too taxing.

had to test ;d

but ya, you're right.. that came a day or so after i posted that high rep reply in the Anti Ego Lifting Thread lmao.

bw = 182
soreness = none
aches/injuries = none
fatigue = medium

SESSION:

S1) SSBAR deep pause squat: 125 lb with 5 sec pause @ 2 x 10
S1) single arm DB bench press: 60 lb @ (L=14,R=15), (L=12,R=15)
S1) single arm DB row: 60 lb @ 2 x 25

quick workout, back to 4 hours sleep (that's how much ive been getting each night for the past 1.5 weeks.. body is much better at handling it than ever before, at least.).

working on a weird nodejs adarq.org chat thing.. which will be pretty cool i think.. eventually i need to redo the entire forum in nodejs wtf.. all real-time updates, would be fun.. could just make it an optional thing until it's entirely done or keep it optional.. that's a long way out, but, i think it'd be cool as hell to write a forum from the ground up, which would be real-time updates without the need for refresh, instant chat/pm/etc.. interfaced with all types of cool mods/features.. dno

pC!

Takes one to know one!

I suposedly replaced 3x5 squating with MSEM to keep them buffered and minimize time under tension.
First session i did 3x1@90% and 2x1@95% , and i said 95 could be pushing it too much.
Next session i did 3x1@90% and... 3x1@100+%, jsut because i felt good. So now quad bugs again.

ahah.. at least we are ADMITTING THE PROBLEM.. this is similar to alcoholics anonymous, but instead, for athletes who repeatedly go against good judgement :D

ya after your reply and re-reading my AEL post, i stuck to the 125 lbs last night :f

i remember back before my temporary retirement, 225 felt like < 135 ... definitely feels heavy now, regardless of the fat that im going deeper.. my legs are nowhere as strong, but i think alot of that is mental, im just not mentally there to really push myself lower body (for now, eventually i will be).. so until then, light + high rep!

ael skwad.

how the hell do you get by my 4 hours of sleep? i do it often but i can tell a difference lifting compared to being well rested. i end up sleeping 16 hours on the weekend. think i would be delirious if i did that indefinitely without catching up on sleep on the weekends.

not sure, i just got used to it.. i've done it so much in the last ~year.. i definitely catch up on sleep though when i'm off, but i get around 8 and maybe a nap.. 16 is like hibernation lmao.

as of this thursday coming up, i'll be on a night shift handing network/security related issues. going to be fun-as-f**k.

my eyes would burn during this training schedule i've been on the last 2 weeks... the 8am-5pm schedule.. i bet i'll feel really good for this night shift, probably won't feel tired at all.. i have to force myself to sleep at ~3am when I have to wakeup around 7-8am.

thanks blu.. who would have ever thought, adarqui taking rest days and staying really light on squat + also going below parallel on squat + focusing on upper body.. 2012 is real.

;d

but ya i needed the last 2 days off from lifting.. it seems i've fallen into a 4-5 days on, 2 days off rhythm, which I really enjoy atm..

i used to feel "incomplete" when I missed a training day.. couldn't sleep either.. now it doesn't phase me at all, because priority #1 is computers/programming, guac city.
