walked up to a really nice basketball hoop today.. first time in like a year.

glass backboard, breakaway, chain net, really nice hoop.. just looked at it for a while, was 10', thought about how last year i would have made a trip to this hoop to destroy it.. interesting.

then i jogged a mile today with my dog and almost had a heart attack.

uh oh... he's comin back.

I've seen you "like" dunk videos on youtube bro... you're thinkin about it again. I know it.
"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

lol well, i still enjoy watching dunk vids.. i wont lie, i have thought about it, but it dissipates rather quickly.

if something pans out in the near future ill get back to working out.. if not, stay sedentary until it does.

I guess its kinda like the anticipation of you training again would be the same as hearing the fight between pacquaio and mayweather has been scheduled.

 :P
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up
-------------------------------------------------------------
Measuring reminder:
5 toe to heel steps = 148cm
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Strength comes from the legs, Power comes from the torso and Speed comes from the arm. Al Vermeil
Arm also aids the legs in driving it down with power - seifullaah73

if i did get back into dunking it would be entirely single leg, i think.. and i'd try not to care about my weight.

even if i landed just weak dunks id just accept it and not focus on bodyweight etc.. not for any reason other than i want to eat lots of thai food.

i dont think i can really jump double anymore.. for me, jumping double required tons of aggression.. single leg would just surprise me even with relaxed jumps.

so ya, if i do dunk again it'd be single leg dosed up on thai food.

i'd also probably do lighter high rep weightlifting work with stretching... the ltmp/rested max stuff.. avoiding that max effort + max intensity stress/fear of injury.

i'd go max effort high rep, ie 10's/20's etc... but not max effort singles.
