no working out last few days.. body feels like crap and my elbow hurts.

eating lots of bananas and milk, plus lots of stretching... the stretching is making me feel a bit better, cept for the elbow.. my soleus on each lower leg shortened from all of the running i was doing 3-4 weeks ago.. pretty nutty.

Those days seem to be over
"Performance during stretch-shortening cycle exercise is influenced by the visco-elastic properties of the muscle-tendon units. During stretching of an activated muscle, mechanical energy is absorbed in the tendon structures (tendon and aponeurosis) and this energy can subsequently be re-utilized if shortening of the muscle immediately follows the stretching. According to Biscotti (2000), 72% of the elastic energy restitution action comes from tendons, 28% - from contractile elements of muscles.

legs feeling pretty good lately after no training for nearly 3 weeks.. just stretching and work/walking, trying to loosen up.. developed some serious knots/hypertonic tissue in the prior 4 months or so.
