be careful man, achilles tendonitis sucks, it took me like a year till it felt about normal, and even then i still had tenderness in the area, which lasted for about another year, and strangely dissapeared a few days after i did a stim on my calves, maybe the extra calf strength was necessary

advice may sound familiar here, but it ain't worth it to get achilles tendonitis now, you still got a long training career ahead of you, i'll get to that 275 squat in time and you will get to your goals, make sure that achilles is ok, i think that would be one of the worst things to injure especially when your focusing on one leg vert/reactivity, etc.  It's a bitch to heal up too, and you won't be able to fight through it, or even want to if you injure it

ya thanks for the words. When I was doing my RVJ stuff a while back (you know, 2007-2009 or whatever), about .5 years into my training my left achilles started acting odd, so I was always worrying about it. Having the achilles-injury stuff in your head is never good, shit would mess with my head hardcore. I don't even like talking about it.

I call it achilles-area because, I don't really think it's my achilles. I think it's a flexor digitorum muscle, which is in the general area:

I crunched (flexed) my toes during calf raise, and felt something.. did it by accident.

forgot to log my workout, 7:30AM, about to sleep :(

3/24/2010

achilles-area felt alot better today.. so i decided to do some jogging to test it out.. went well, then during my strength routine i felt it a bit.. the big test is tomorrow when i wakeup, to see how it feels.. if its bad then i need to rest it for alot longer.

about half my complex:
- ~3/4th mile run?
- felt fine, slow

around my block:
- 3x ~3 minute runs
- rest about 2 minutes in between
- tried keeping toes up hard throughout run.. if i do, i get much more bounce/power out of my glutes, if i don't, i go alot slower
- my ankle stiffness alternates between bouncy and mushy.. mushy as i reduce my "toe up control".

ISOM: 2 rotations

pullup hold at top:
- ~30 breaths, ~30 breaths

dip hold at quarter:
- ~30-40 breathes

squat hold at half:
- pulling femurs back
- forget how long

single leg squat variation:
- ~30 breathes, ~30 breathes

standing calf raise hold at top:
- did one set but shouldnt have

felt sore today upper body, legs felt fine astonishingly.. RFI session planned for tomorrow if achilles-area feels fine.

peace

me and my girlfriend actually went to the hospital.
We both had neck issues.
I was fine after all. But her x-rays were like WTF?!?.
I never saw a cervical spine so straight.

She is now fine though. thx for asking man.

yeah man. scary as hell.
even more scary if you consider, like I did, that this came right when my right knee started feeling a lil better, thus configurating a sort of cosmic conspiracy against what should be my dunk quest 2.0...
AhAHAhAhahaH

seriously, I'm glad we are "fine". It could be much worse.
My gf has to check her neck in the next months though, just to be sure it's nothing serious. Let's hope it is so.

just watched it.
7:42 is pure awesomness. I just love those one handed combos. They worked pretty well for me back when in the days I was into martial arts.
Overall, good quickness, good combos, much better then the last time I saw you (and I remember you were not bad at all!).
Just try some metal/rock next time:p

Next time, don't hit your camera, you should instead hit a stone wall; it's a lot more efficient in breaking your hand, plus you wont fuck up your camera. ;)

thanks man, i appreciate it..

i will get u a 'metal round', i'll focus on only throwing HARD combos the whole round.. since just thinking about listening to metal gives me thats how i would react to it.
