they just dont understand vertical jump and beast training man... but there are some good comments too... but most of em man... both t nation and bb.com... man... crazy people...

coz all they care about is putting on muscle and how they look man... at the beach...

ya, i don't really mind them in the vert & speed thread, i'm definitely trolling them in the physique thread post.. but i know it would piss some of them off so, i'm kind of at fault there, but that was the intent, have some fun with it while posting my video/physique pic.. instead of just being like "hi guys check out my video", might as well have some fun with them koz i wouldn't have gotten much responses with that either.. lol

I used to love t-nation for their NO BULLSHIT attitude in their articles and it was a great source of information for putting on muscle. However, I can't stand how everyone there thinks if you're less than 200lbs at 6'0 YOU'RE A PUSSY. And that you need to gain more weight... for what? I asked a question about why the hell my left pec is so much bigger than my right and posted a pic, and the first comment I got was "go eat 5 steaks a day for a year and come back."

ya stuff like that is foul.. it's not even a bodybuilding forum either, sure bodybuilding is it's biggest client-base, but the meatheads who claim its a bodybuilding-only forum need to look at the subforums and their articles, it's for a variety of athletes/sports/fitness goals.

i don't like that vibe either.. it's ATG-massive-surge+anaconda or GTFO.. can't be an athlete at < 200 lb..

Quote
And it's not just the forum anymore, but I can't stand their whole Biotest bullshit, they market that thing like crazy. Like they find out some important breakthrough shit about nutrition and hey, whaddya know, this biotest product has had exactly that for 2 years now!

And the anaconda protocol? Are you fucking serious?

ya, their site used to be sick back in the day when all they promoted was Grow and Surge.. it's really gone down hill since then, especially in the articles, since they have such a bias towards bullshit now.

pc

it's just direction of mind

here, emphasis is squeezing out energy out of every ounce of fiber
there, it's making muscles look good and oily
.
.
.
I think  :)

well lots of dude's work hard over there too, it's funny, frank yang was a bodybuilding.com/t-nation guy.. they do get some impressive performance athletes occasionally.. i'm surprised the conditioning forum even exists lol..

"LEAD BY EXAMPLE" + "BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE" = word.

"BELIEVING IN YOURSELF IS NOT ENOUGH, YOU MUST WORK VERY HARD, VERY SMART, AND NEVER QUIT.

still sick, but getting better, nasty phlegm today lolol. was 152 at time of squatting, word.

extremely high fatigue today, eyes were pulsating at times, they were so tired.. eyes were closing in between squat sets and during walk sometimes.. just very tired.. surprised i felt so strong on squat.

BW = 154
soreness = none
aches/injuries = left big toe a little, left knee a little (odd about the knee)
fatigue = extremely high
diet = chicken soup + milkLESS protein shake, milkLESS protein shake + a few fig newtons, walking + light sprinting, squatting, milkLESS protein shake + banana, milkLESS protein shake + turkey & cheese sandwhich + tea + gatorade drink

workout #1: walk + light sprint
- 6 mile traversed, felt weak
- light sprints felt crappy

workout #2: squatting
- warmup sets felt weak early on (45 @ 3 x 10), but then i started feeling pretty strong
- half squat, 45 @ 3 x 10, 135 x 8, 185 x 10, 225 x 10, 245 x 10, 265 x 10, 285 x 8, 305 x 5,

just stopped at 305 x 5, 152 time of workout.. good stuff, could have hit 315 x 5 for sure.. held back a bit.. im going to be taking it easier with training for a little while longer, well, i guess if you could call what i did 'taking it easy', im going to be hitting more reps during my workup sets.. that's actually harder so scratch what i just said.. but ill be doing that yup.

hope toe isn't freaking out tomorrow, that'd be a good sign.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- DO NOT squat without heels elevated, used to heels elevated, too much sitting back aggravates back injury
- DO NOT deadlift aggravates back injury
- DO NOT overstretch quads, aggravates ankle injury
- as of 1/15/2011, don't do 325 x 5, instead, hit MSEM singles at 325+, stay 305-315 x 5+

CURRENT GOALS
01/11/2011: PROJECT SSR7, get down to 150 or less as soon as possible.. maintain 315 x 5 half squat strength + keep a set of 20 maintained (245-265), fix right ankle, more interval conditioning, don't neglect my necessary exercises

In Internet slang... a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.  -wikipedia-

Yeah wtf?

That's like a guy coming to a VJ oriented forum to ask advice about marathon training or put up pictures with him running marathons etc. He'd kind of be pointed at.

Not sure what's up with annoying those guys, looks to me like you're losing both your and their time...

You fools, trolling is a hallowed and time-honored tradition of internet communication. Pissing off very dumb, very irritable absolute strangers in this way is as valid a pastime as stamp collecting or making foot fetish videos.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

ya man, it's a hilarious dynamic.. funny thing is, i'm partly trolling.. i'm actually serious about posting my physique pics and shit like that, and im serious about skinny people needing some role models LOOOL.. so my 'seriousness' on a forum like that is in itself trolling, some of the other stuff i'm saying is bait.. im a pro at internet forum warfare and mindgames.. lol

i dno, it's probably pretty immature, but im still sick and laughter is a great cure for everything.. i been cracking up at these people getting so aggressive with me.

Hahaha adarqui, I was looking through the T-nation forums and came across your physique thread without first reading about it in here. Definitely one of the better troll jobs I've seen on there in awhile even though you are being somewhat serious.

woop ! still sick but feeling much better.. tomorrow i probably will feel 95%, hopefully by friday im 100%, i miss donkies (dunking).

01/25/2011

BW = 152.8 (without poop)
soreness = hamstrings
aches/injuries = left knee still wtf, very odd.. came out of nowhere, didn't do anything to tweak it that I know of
diet = chicken soup + milkLESS protein shake, milkLESS protein shake + 2 bananas, cheeseburger + 2 bananas, milkLESS protein shake
fatigue = high

workout: glute/calf/pushups
- got lazy with the pushups, did them single leg, didnt want to hurt toe, should have just done them double leg
- going to stop rotating like a circuit, i'll only go through a few rotations as a warmup, then im going nuts and hitting multiple sets in a row low rest until im dead on each exercise

PUR = single leg pushup right leg
PUL = single leg pushup left leg
GB = glute bridge
CR = calf rase

PUR-15, PUL-15, CR-100, GB-220, PUR-15+HOLD, PUL-15+HOLD, GB-130+70+100+100+100+100, CR-100, CR-100,

so 600 glute bridges "in a row", short rest between sets, 30s or so.. glutes felt numb by 600, back was getting tight so stopped at 600.. feel good though, until later i pull my hamstring origin a little, taking a poop.. needless to say, good work.

ok well that's about it.. tomorrow = walk + reactive work, then squatting.. going to do some MR halftucks probably, to prepare myself for jumping again (because of my toe) for friday.. would like to do some light dunks friday, then some big big dunks wednesday..

ADARQ.ORG ADVANCED PROGRESS TRACKER

PROGRESS-TRACKER-ARTICLE: http://www.adarq.org/forum/performance-training-blog/the-2011-blueprint-better-gains-through-improved-clarity/

Purpose: To log data in a format that is easier to analyze (for ourselves and readers of our journals), so that training setbacks are avoided & progression is of primary importance, thus making our training as efficient & effective as possible.

How-to: Copy, Paste & modify the template to suit your needs: Include this post at the end of each of your training journal posts by clicking "modify" on your previous post, copy and paste it into the current post, and then add the new data.

The muscle I have on my lower body rivals that of a man who is 6'1 190 at least. 24" thighs, 17" vmo, 15" calfs.. at 152.

This made me curious and i measured my legs: guess what: 19" vmo, 25" thighs 16" calves and i'm 6"5' 180 lbs.
So in metric my height would be 195 cm and 82 kg while you are 184 cm and 69 kg. So to have my body composition you would have to be 184 cm tall with 73 kg, but considering i'm a lot more legs than upper body you can probably think we have a similar muscle mass. So skinny is the way to go!!!!

I have a 41.5 cm VMO, 60 cm thigh and 39 cm calf on my left leg. That's 16.5", 24" and 16" at ~180.

So I pretty much have what Adarqui has but I weigh 30 lbs more.

Right leg: 42 cm VMO, 58 cm thigh 38 cm calf. So 17", 23" and 15". Weird as I always complained about right leg's VMO. It's form is strange, very "short" in length, while the left VMO is long and goes all the way up the thigh.

And my right (stronger) leg measures 23.5" thigh and 15" calf. How are you guys measuring VMO? If it's just around the part of the leg that your VMO is in then my VMO is ~17.5-18". That's at 5-11, 172, or right in between Nightfly and adarq weight-wise and considerably shorter than either

The lesson, in any case? Cross sectional area might mean something, but it don't mean shit when it comes to jumping well. I'm a good 6-7 inches short of adarq and IDK how many short of Nightfly but probably a bunch.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.
