ok so after complete detraining for the passed 6 months, and since im back into training, and since I love all the VJ analysis crap in the crazy/weird forum, I've decided to do a little experiment. I'm going to go about VJ increases much differently, if i don't get them that's fine, I know what works for me, but this is more about playing with some new ideas, and since im completely detrained, it's as if im starting fresh.
Conditioning/boxing is a primary focus, VJ experiment is on the side.
- walk to bball court : 1.5 miles
RVJ's: 10'2 touch
- ahaha! i know it will get a bit better just from jumping, maybe 10'4
- hamstring tendon hurting a bit, old injury, felt it during sprints too
- left achilles was hurting
- quads felt non-existent
Interval sprints, sprint pole to pole, light jog pole to pole:
- ~3+ miles, pretty hardcore, feeling better
- i didnt keep track of sprints but we're talking around twenty ~50-75 yard sprints, depending on the pole distance.
Pullups:17, 15, 12
Poonanny squats: Trust me, not what you're thinking, video soon, shit is hardcore
- 45 lb bar: 3 x 10
- 95 lb bar: 95 x 5
- hamstrings cramped on each set of 95 lb...
- this is the main part of my experimentOk, so, looking like:Day 1: Jumps, Interval Sprints, Pullups, Poonanny squats
Day 2: Optional shadow boxing, core, pushups on handles
