bw = 152
soreness = very slight hamstrings, gastrocs (more of a "about to cramp" feeling, from backwards drops, hits calfs hard)
aches/injuries = here we go.. forearm 'splints' a little from barbell curling (this has always been problematic for me, just comes out of nowhere), lower & mid back (from 1-arm ohp), left ankle feeling better but still slightly there, knees slightly (prolly from adding in the walking)

diet = protein shake, burger + protein shake, walking/interval, half protein shake, training, protein shake, protein shake + pb sandwhich

workout #1: walking/light interval sprints
- calfs almost cramping during the walk..
- 6 miles, light intervals mixed in (100-150 strides)

workout #2: shitty workout overall
- dead hang (pullups): 7 x failure <-- for stretching lats/loosening up back
- barbell calf raise: 185 @ 5 x 15, 5 x 12

dno what im going to do tomorrow, wanting to jump nasty monday, so id like to feel alot better tomorrow.. no idea though.. planning tuck jumps + upper, but if i feel real crappy i might just do tucks & thats it... ill probably man up though.

backward drops = hardcore

BW = 150.8 <-- funny, carb depleted, feeling weak but looking lean, 2 days ago after carb'n up i was 155
soreness = hamstrings slightly, calfs slightly
aches/injuries = back still
fatigue = feel mad shitty

diet = protein shake, 4 pieces of pizza + salad + chocolates + 2 pieces of cake, training, protein shake + 4 bananas, protein shake + 4 bananas

workout:
- mr tuck: 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5
- dips: 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10

tuck jumps felt insanely explosive, took me a while to get into the workout, very long warmup, like 30 minutes of progressive warming up.. but once i got into the tucks at max effort, i had some insane pop.. tomorrow is actually looking promising, didn't think so before workout.

dips were very weak..

hopefully i can sleep around 4:30am and wakeup at 12:30am, that'd be great.

i challenged kingfish to a vert challenge, i told him i'd hit head on rim before he hits 40 SVJ.. letz see wut goes down.

he's at 38 SVJ max, i'm at ~39 RVJ max.. tomorrow im going to jump good though because he pissed me off badly, but we're cool, he's my boi.. i'll probably put his squat video on my ipod because i get so angry watching his squat videos, because it takes ~30-45s for the first rep to happen after he walks the bar out.. that should result in some PR's if i watch that shit before jumping

peace

To me, in that picture you look like 3-4 inches away... it's too far away from the camera though and the angle distorts it, so I don't know. Definitely not 1 inch away...

i'm directly under the backboard, behind the net.. see the white line on the ground, i'm directly over that also.. check the proportions. heh

also, explain to me how you get 3-4"? i mean, we clearly see like 1" away on pic, but how do you get 3-4"? you just making up a number or what? lool

ripp was kidding with his 5-6" comment.

Well that certainly isn't 1 inch. Maybe one inch on the monitor screen :D

whatever that means.. congrats though at being blind as fuck.. gj.

If you think that what looks 1 inch from 30 feet away is really 1 inch in reality, then... well... :-*

A GREAT warm-up is the most underrated thing I've ever come across. It makes such a big difference to me, ~6 inches (yes, that's right, SIX inches). The amount of elasticity, body "feel" and movement efficiency increases so much after a GREAT (not good, GREAT) warmup.

I'd say it's somewhere between 1 and 2 inches, but still very close. Just look at the proportions and you'll see it can't really be more than that.

Man the day you hit your head is gonna hurt...you'll be jumping up max effort not expecting it, then BANG...gonna be epic though, looking forward to seeing some footage of that.

If there's anything I ain't, then I ain't an adarqui hater... I couldn't ever be. But again, 1 inch from that camera distance and angle is much more there. If there would've been a one inch distance, then from this angle it would seem his head hit the backboard. It's interesting since Andrew is pretty tough on his jumping in terms of inch-inflation, so it's somewhat surprising, which means he really genuinely believes it's 1 inch. One inch it's two squares on a math paper.

nah dude, im UNDER the backboard.. i could see if i was way in front of it, head near net etc, but im far behind the net in that pic.. in all those head height pics i am behind the net, right under the backboard hehe.

regardless ill hit my head on it and that'll be that.

thank mang

nah it won't hurt, there's a pad there.. lol.. hitting it on pure metal/glass backboard would hurt ya, but not a pad :)

pad feels cool, i hit the other pad at the outdoor-roofed court, that backboard is lower..

It'll hurt like a bitch if it's what stops your upward movement.

So this is some kind of minus-7 level training - how not to get stimulated "oh shit, if I jump high I'll hit my head. OK, I'll jump lower!".

ok got around to making some stills before i drop the vid on my misc footage account.

my highest touch for height came on my very first jump, wtf? then jump 2 and 3 were lower.. that's some odd shit..

all of my dunk makes to the right side of the rim, with this angle, have some major distortion, but they were good dunks

this dude is like 6'3 or so, sprited but almost had one

this dude is like 6'2 i think.. or 6'1.. sprited on this one

Even if it was a shitty session, it looks to me like you're jumping higher than ever - So your training is achieving what it's supposed to. Keep it up.
