not asleep yet, but had a great morning running with the dogs at around ~7 AM. my "beefy silky" is such a stud, loves running.. my smaller/athletic one is a freak, he just doesn't enjoy long distance running. James (the beefy one) just goes nuts, and keeps going. it's impressive.

running with the dogs:
- 2 x ~1/2 mile

- amazing how such a small animal can run so easily, so fast.. i love looking at James' face when he's running, he's in heaven.

need to do more of that..

it's absolutely crazy how weak i'm starting to feel.. going on ~2 weeks without milk

I think the lack of milk is really catching up with me.. body is feeling so weak. Obviously being sick didn't help.. but the lack of extra protein/nutrients I got from milk, is probably adding up.

walk/run/jump/read/slow run:
- jumps were insanely bad
- speed was decent but at a harder effort, so not decent.. felt dead

finished off with 3.5 slow miles after jumps. hoping to keep getting in these slow (and eventually long) finisher runs.. just relax, don't push myself, and get some 'light aerobic cardio' in.

3/28

Session: Morning

run with dogs.
- my sprinter (gizmo) didn't want to run.. so he held me/james back.
- though, on a few occasions, he saw some ducks/birds, and he just smoked us.. man he is so fast. straight up sprinter genetics. It's so much fun watching him turn on the speed.. he does it because he's a little "killer" type; sees those ducks, and wants to get one. If he wasn't on a leash, he'd probably get one.
- tough running fast with two leashes, lmao

^^ a nice sub 6 min/mi quarter in there.. i can't imagine running that pace, being as small as them.. i guess the key for them is stride frequency lmao.. obviously can't be stride length, when you're ~1'-1.5' in length and 7-14 lb. haha.

the ~0.5 mi was through the thick grass too (chasing birds/ducks).. that's a solid pace for grass.

much fun.

Just saw this and thought you might like it. Pretty sick... especially as it has two of my favourite poems in it. Really makes you wanna go out for a run and I have to admit that it takes a lot for me to want to do this. haha might do it this week as the weather has been really nice lately... definitely gonna embarrass myself.  :uhhhfacepalm:

which joe? sorry im lost right now, dead tired. edit: OOOOHhh joe armstrong. Yeah he just gave a talk in the states at some con I think. I'll check it out. Love that dude.

i gave up on riotjs for my project in about a day ..  :derp: instead, I went back to purescript and made my own code work. All I could think about while coding riotjs was, I already coded all of this in purescript, so it was driving me insane. Got my old code working and everything is great.

but ya I do like riotjs.. it's such a simple little framework. It's probably alot quicker to start something in riotjs than react. I had several components built with riot, routing etc, and a bunch of other janky stuff. It's solid though, you check it out?

pc!

nice will check tomorrow (today).

and ya i can predict that my running experience is nowhere like what will be in that video.. if i had "scenery", i'd definitely enjoy just running to run and relax, and enjoy nature. In my current surroundings, there's cars everywhere.

you go for that run?

TOMORROW I'M STARTING SALAD FEST.

feel really unhealthy lately.. also ate DQ (fried chicken tenders/fries) a few times in the last few days (kinda had too, lmao). Man that stuff absolutely wrecked me.

anyway, going to get back on some salads.. haven't been eating greens at all, for maybe 2 months or so. it's been rare.

time to clean up the diet a bit.

I'm with you here! Only the last couple of weeks for me but I've let myself slip a bit and am hardly eating any greens. #saladcrew

last night's salad:

-bunch of spinach, chopped
-granny smith apple, thinly sliced
-small red onion, thinly sliced
-4 oz cheddar cheese, chopped
-couple handfulls dried cranberries
-dressing (whisked until blended)
--quarter cup olive oil
--quarter cup honey
--quarter cup apple cider vinegar
--salt & pepper
--mustard powder

some sliced almonds would have improved it further but i didn't have any. still tasty.
