fwiw i have and love the iPhone SE, which has the specs of an iPhone 6 but in an iPhone 5 (i.e. much smaller) body. so much more comfortable to use.
Muscles are nonsensical they have nothing to do with this bullshit.

emphasis:
- afternoon session: 1 mile sprint
- evening session: 1km sprint, jumps, 5k jog

06/24/2016

Bio: Morning

last night's sleep: ~9 hours
last night fell asleep: ~5 AM
wakeup = 1 PM
bw = 150
morning resting heart rate = didn't measure
soreness = none!
aches = none!
injuries = none!
standing desk (when on computer): none
feel = good
water = alot

Food

1:30 PM

- green tea
- greek yogurt

Session: Afternoon

4 PM
- shoes: NB XC700v3
- strike: forefoot

runs:

1. 0.15 mi in 44s
- 12 mph, 5:01 min/mi
- this actually felt the best of all of the runs in this session.. HEH

2. 0.22 mi in 1:11
- 10.9 mph, 5:31 min/mi
- deliberately slowed it down slightly

3. 1.03 mi in 5m:33s
- 10.8 mph
- decent.. technically my third best mile since getting the watch.. 1s off 2nd-pr, 8 seconds off my #1 PR.
- 1KM: 3m:19s

wore my xc700v2's instead of nb 5000v2's.. the xc flats always allow me to get onto my forefoot easier, and, perhaps feel better.. dno yet.

Food

5 PM

- 2 x wheat bread with peanut butter
- green tea
- 2 x banana

Food

7 PM

- 2% milk + 2 tspn coffee + honey

Session: Evening

8 PM
- shoes: NB XC900v2

run: 0.69 mi in 3m38s
- 1 KM: 3m13s (4s off PR)
- pace: 11.5 mph, 5:14 min/mi
- strike: forefoot
- backed off the first ~500m, with the intent on going harder the remaining distance
- worked fairly decent.. felt like more of a 'repeatable' run/sprint.
- actually thought I PR'd it though

jumps:
- ~1 hour of jumps, alternating R-SLRVJ with L-SLRVJ
- felt great.. got ~10'8" off L-SLRVJ whenever I wanted -> max effort jump.
- unfortunately couldn't get any higher
- ~30 jumps each leg
- R-SLRVJ feeling better

run: 3.17 mi in 23m53s
- legs dead
- strike: mid / heel->toe
- splits: 7:16, 7:34, 7:42, rest(7:42)
- at least i didn't fade off into the 8's

toast.

jumping felt really good. happy with it. would like to see 10'9-10'10 in the near future.

Food

10 PM

- whole milk
- tons of cherries (like 30-40 ;f)
- tons of blueberries
- bunch of water melon
- banana
- green tea

not a real meal.. but was so damn good, considering how beat I was.. feel great after that meal too.

Food

3 AM

- whole milk
- 2 x wheat toast with butter
- banana

body feels light/snappy.. legs a bit achy.. need to make sure i don't eat any ice cream in the near future. I have a mounds bar waiting for me, but that's much less of a problem. Would like to lean out a bit more, which might sound crazy.. but, I actually have quite a bit of room to lean out, even though i'm so light. I'm an alien.

got tons of programming done. getting close to the end of the month, might be able to showcase some of the forum i've been working on.. this thing is a major work in progress but, it's going good. i'm happy with it so far.. seems like I should be further along by now but, all good.

last night fell asleep: ~5 AM
wakeup = 1 PM

morning resting heart rate = didn't measure
soreness = calves moderate (left much more so than right), hamstrings slightly
aches = left achilles slightly (but also left ankle in general)
injuries = none!
standing desk (when on computer): none
feel = good, but scatter brained
water = alot

Food

4 PM
- stretched calves/ankles while chopping/cutting the veggies

- big stir fry: 3 potatoes, 3 carrots, 1 broccoli, kalamata olives, 4 turmeric, 1 head of garlic, lots of mixed nuts, white onion, jalapeno pepper, red chili pepper, serrano pepper, olive oil, asperagus tips, goat cheese at the end
- 6 eggs
- green tea

after:
- whole milk
- biscotti

one reason i'm taking pictures of my food right now.. is because i just want to remember it. i'm forming an intimate relationship with vegetables (& stir fry, & goat cheese).

Food

7 PM

- beet/berry juice pre-made drink

Food

9 PM

- whole milk
- almond joy

Food

2 AM

- greek yogurt
- banana

feel pretty good other than the soreness.. should be able to train tomorrow, but, not sure yet.. tomorrow would be 12-minute test and submax jumps.

got alot of programming done.. but mostly, setup local environments for better testing on my laptop instead of through my VPN.. and some refactoring.. also need to figure out a background job/work queue system.. leaning towards rabbitmq for now, but, also not sure how I want to even code out the jobs themselves.. dno, should just try to keep it crazy simple for now though.. whatever i design right now will need to be re-designed eventually anyway.

watched lots of sports: boxing (thurman/porter), futbol (croatia/portugal, usa/colombia).

Episode 10 was the greatest ever. I just don't know how they are gonna match it next season.

my fav episode is still the red wedding.. i mean that was brutal & shocking.

they kind of did it in the last episode too.

ya, it's going to be hard to top this season but.. seems like the stage is set for some huge battles. I didn't like the look on LittleFinger's face at the end. HEH!

Plus there's the battle for humanity looming.

should be good, can't wait to see how they cook it up. ;f

Episode 9 was the best, IMO. After the Red Wedding.
Current PR status:

All time squat: 165 kg/Old age squat: 130 kg
All time deadlift: 184 kg/Old age deadlift: 140 kg
All time bench: 85 kg/Old age bench: 70kgx5reps
All time hip thrust (same as old age hip thrust): 160kgx5reps

I thought this season was kinda weak. Almost like they needed more guidance from the book that is yet to be finished. Having said that it's definitely set up for a big next season.

i never read the books so i don't have that perspective. I liked this season because it ended with all of the big players in position, ready to possibly get "all of the power".

feel pretty good.

absolutely ridiculous amount of coding today .. but.. in major refactor mode.. cleaning up a ton of stuff.. also super happy with this technique i figured out, for example in one of my functions:

Code: [Select]
getThreadPostPack_ByThreadPostM :: Maybe StandardParams -> UserId -> Entity ThreadPost -> HandlerErrorEff ThreadPostPackResponse
getThreadPostPack_ByThreadPostM m_sp user_id thread_post@(Entity thread_post_id ThreadPost{..}) = do

  lr <- runEitherT $ do

    thread_post_user <- isT $ getUserM user_id threadPostUserId
    thread_post_stat <- isT $ getThreadPostStatM user_id thread_post_id
    thread_post_like <- isT $ getLike_ByThreadPostIdM user_id thread_post_id

    --  thread_post_star <- getThreadPostStar_ByThreadPostM user_id thread_post

    user_perms_by_thread_post <- lift $ userPermissions_ByThreadPostIdM user_id (entityKey thread_post)

    m_org    <- isT $ getWithOrganizationM (lookupSpBool m_sp spWithOrganization) user_id threadPostOrgId
    m_forum  <- isT $ getWithForumM (lookupSpBool m_sp spWithForum) user_id threadPostForumId
    m_board  <- isT $ getWithBoardM (lookupSpBool m_sp spWithBoard) user_id threadPostBoardId
    m_thread <- isT $ getWithThreadM (lookupSpBool m_sp spWithThread) user_id threadPostThreadId

    pure (thread_post_user
         ,thread_post_stat
         ,thread_post_like
         ,user_perms_by_thread_post
         ,m_org
         ,m_forum
         ,m_board
         ,m_thread)

  rehtie lr left $
    \(thread_post_user, thread_post_stat, thread_post_like, user_perms_by_thread_post, m_org, m_forum, m_board, m_thread) -> do

      right $ ThreadPostPackResponse {
        threadPostPackResponseThreadPost       = threadPostToResponse thread_post,
        threadPostPackResponseThreadPostId     = keyToInt64 thread_post_id,
        threadPostPackResponseUser             = userToSanitizedResponse thread_post_user,
        threadPostPackResponseUserId           = entityKeyToInt64 thread_post_user,
        threadPostPackResponseStat             = thread_post_stat,
        threadPostPackResponseLike             = fmap likeToResponse thread_post_like,
        threadPostPackResponseStar             = Nothing,
        threadPostPackResponseWithOrganization = fmap organizationToResponse m_org,
        threadPostPackResponseWithForum        = fmap forumToResponse m_forum,
        threadPostPackResponseWithBoard        = fmap boardToResponse m_board,
        threadPostPackResponseWithThread       = fmap threadToResponse m_thread,
        threadPostPackResponsePermissions      = user_perms_by_thread_post
      }

it won't make any sense to anyone probably.. but it's pretty dope.. all of those isT's are actually escape hatches for errors.. so if any of those trigger, the whole function aborts and returns an error to the caller, which in most cases will return an HTTP error to the user of the api etc.. so it turns out to be fairly elegant imho.

refactoring a ton of stuff because i encountered a few lame bugs (which i knew would eventually pop up) because of how i was handling query paramaters in urls. so, still not done, probably going to take (all of today already) and all of tomorrow to get the code running again.. but, very happy with the changes i'm making right now.

wanted to go see if I could pick up a galaxy s7 edge at the store, turns out they don't carry it.. they only sell the unlocked version which doesn't have any warranty etc.. it was $800, which is similar to the prices you see online.. but i also see quite a few listed at $700 - i think those are the unlocked international version.

dno, have to think about it more. really wanted to pick that up today, sux.

well.. i wanted to get a beta of the forum up by the end of this month but, .. doesn't seem like it. a few big issues I ran into is; i need to upgrade from purescript 0.8.5.x to 0.9.x .. i'm running into some front end issues which are resolved in the latest version & latest libraries. sooo.. unfortunately, need to spend some time upgrading everything. There's a ton of breaking changes etc, so it'll probably take a week tbh..

here's some screen shots fwiw.. haven't worked alot on the ui but it's decent for what it is, for now.

note: The "Just (<data>)" stuff is me not pretty formatting the timestamps.

parsing of thread posts is actually turned off right now in this screen shot, hence the messed up post.. that's one of the libraries effected by the older purescript-parsing library, hence the need to upgrade:

tags.. eheh

mostly mobile friendly, but obviously needs tweaking.. this is the window all scrunched up:

there's a bunch of other stuff too.. anyway, it's obviously a big project but, just showing that it's coming along.

upgrade hell begins tomorrow.. well actually tonight, i'm currently building the new purescript compiler :F

edit: eh.. also going to upgrade to haskell 8.. but that shouldn't effect anything. :)

Target training paces (min/km), calculated from 5K PR 22:49 :
Easy run : 5:48
Tempo run : 4:50
VO2-max run :4:21
Speed form run : 4:02

it's the biggest trick in the run game.. go slow to go fast. it doesn't make sense until it smacks you in the face and you're like ....... wtf?
