01/28/2015

weight: 178
soreness: right quad (damn wtf), left calf, left bicep

still sore wtf.

Session was pretty good. Eventually i'll get to throw in some hardcore reactive work. I'm going to give myself an incentive and say, no reactive work until I hit 169.

Session: jog, jump, and sprint

shoes: nb xc900 v2

Jog/Sprint: ~0.75 mi
- jog to court
- ~5-10 yd sprints mixed in

Jump: About 10 each leg
- Decent. Felt good in the new shoes.
- Didn't get to do my 'just beyond 3-point line' runups because portions of the court were wet.
- L-SLRVJ: 124-125" on max touch. ~123" avg
- R-SLRVJ: 120" on max touch.  :personal-record:

Jog/Sprint: ~3 mi
- ~5-10 yd sprints mixed in

Throughout the day:
- Lots of stretching. Feeling very light/loose, but much work is left to be done.
- Must be careful not to injure myself stretching (ie rip something). It's happened before.
- By far the biggest problem area I have, are my adductors. Very tight. It's been this way since I was perhaps 11 years old or so. Lost my flexibility 'out of nowhere'.

I'm just going to stick "PR" next to my R-SLRVJ. I've never been able to get too high off my right leg, so i dno, seems like a "recent PR" or maybe a PR historically. which is nutty.

I need to eventually find some measurements for PR's other than jumps, since i'm not going to hit the weights like I used to.

There is a great idea to achieve that.
Change your mind and go hit the weights like you used to.

quick logging, 2 sessions

01/29/2015

bw = 177
soreness = left calf, quads, hamstrings

felt achy today.

Morning: Session: jog & sprint, jump, jog & sprint

3 mi jog/sprint:
- got some nice sprints in

jumps: very light
- did a few slrvj for rim touch but barely tried to jump
- then started doing some distance SLRVJ's not going for rim touch, just coming in from a longer approach at more speed and jumping for distance.. was fun

.4 mi jog/sprint

Evening Session: jog

3.4 mi jog:
- tried to jog at a consistent faster pace, decent
- foot strike was nice.. jumping may be helping with this

ITS FINALLY HAPPENING, THE DEAL IS DONE PACQUIAO VS MAYWEATHER IS SIGNED AND SET.

Finally the long awaited bout is going to take place.

It’s actually happening! Floyd Mayweather has agreed to fight Manny Pacquiao, a new report claims. Apparently, the two just came to an agreement earlier today, Jan. 30. And Manny tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that he plans to ‘fight hard.’ Find out when and where this epic battle will go down!

So when can we see that weak dunk  :P
Warm up drills
   - a walk, b skip quick powerful switch (heel to hams focus), a runs, dribbles small to big to run, straight leg to runs (force, reflex, go up/forward). force to hit the ground before it hits the ground knee/hip is at 90 degrees.
   - acceleration: low heel recovery, shin angle low, drive legs back before hitting the ground and drive thighs/knee forward not up

5 toe to heel steps = 148cm

those are nice! i've seen the hi-rez, never knew anyone had any minimus's on here.

how do you like them? what do you do in them?

np

For an all around shoe similar to nike zoom waffle racers, xc900 v2's are definitely them.

I actually feel more comfortable in my nb minimus trail's than those nb minimus zero v2's.

lazyness unfortunately.. i think.

i used to be able to roll with pvc.. it band pvc without pain. took a long time to get there but when i did daaym, must have worked out so many wrecked spots in the fascia.

OH SHIT!

hope this is 100% legit.. like my friend just said, "i'll believe it when it hits front page news everywhere". This is great though, that's the fight of the last few decades. This is enormous.

Also, I guess i'll have to try and land a dunk before May 2. lulz! Who knows, maybe it'll be possible as time gets closer.

yesterday!

01/30/2015

bw = 178
soreness = left calf, hamstrings a little

2 sessions, morning & night.

Morning Session: jog

shoes: nbmt

Jog: 4 mi
- felt horrible

Evening Session: jog

shoes: xc900 v2

Jog: 4 mi
- felt amazing
- my best run of recent months  :personal-record:
- was flying effortlessly and breathing was fairly relaxed
- 28:50 with several rhythm breaks (traffic/crossing street etc).
- Havn't run for 'speed' on my distance runs in a while, so this is very promising. My jog & sprint workouts are surely tackling the lactic threshold side of the equation.

edit: Ate 6 bananas last night.. might be starting to incorporate the banana power again, lul!

02/01/2015

bw = 178
soreness = feel good

Tough session. Also, minor strain of my left adductor on a distance jump.

Session: jump, jog

shoes: xc900v2

Jumps:
- ~1 hour of jumping

Max Vert:
- L-SLRVJ: mostly 123", but hit a 125"
- R-SLRVJ: lots of 120"'s
- r-slrvj was more consistent that previous jump sessions. Hit 10' alot.

Distance Vert: From the line of the paint
- L-SLRVJ: hit 122" from takeoff just outside the paint. All other jumps sucked.
- R-SLRVJ: nowhere close to touching rim

Non-Stop Submax SLRVJ:
- basically jogging down the court alternating L-SLRVJ / R-SLRVJ
- these were horrible. I think I may have hit rim once out of 20 jumps.
- this is a good sign though, means I have some serious room for improvement in my conditioning related to jumping.

Long Jump:
- Trying to jump across the width of the paint from ~10 and ~20 yard lead ins.
- I guess I probably would have gotten across it on a few jumps if I did a 'bad landing', but, I wanted to land safely.

Jog: ~5 mi
- ~5 mi run.
- was dead.

Lost 6 lb. of water weight by the end of this workout.

Groin feels a little sore from the strain. Should be fine though. It happened during one  of my 'distance verts' trying to touch rim from outside the paint.

Ate alot tonight, hoping it replenishes me a bit so I can get some training in the AM.

MY TOES R FUKT! Two blood bubbles forming! hehehe!! This probably wouldn't happen if I ran in my vibram's, as my toes would be separate... but then running would be much more intense.

02/02/2015

bw = 177
soreness = hamstrings
aches/injuries = tight adductors, blood bubbles forming on left first metatarsal, right 4th metatarsal.

Morning Session: jog, bw strength

shoes: xc900v2

Jog: 3.4 mi
- decent

BW Strength:

DorsiFlexion holds: for a while
Pushups: BW @ 14
NG Pullups: BW @ 4
SL (somewhat shrimp) Squat: BW @ 1 x 20 each leg
SL calf raise: BW @ 1 x 20 each leg

good workout.

Evening Session: jog, bw strength

shoes: xc900v2

Jog: 4.1 mi
- fast
- felt great

BW Strength:

DorsiFlexion holds: for a while
Pushups: BW @ 17
NG Pullups: BW @ 4
SL (somewhat shrimp) Squat: BW @ 1 x 10 each leg
SL calf raise: BW @ 1 x 10 each leg

good workout x 2.

Two good workouts but my toes feel wrecked. :F I've had one blood-bubble for a week now, i can't really feel it anymore. This one on my bigtoe tho hurts like a mfqr.
