Ok so I finally gave in -> performed a few SLRVJ's tonight at a local court. Took a quick detour from my run, got in 6 jumps.
I've had this recurring dream (~3x) over the last ~3 months or so. It's me jogging but, occasionally jumping ~20 feet into the air.
Session: Jog & Jump
shoes: nbmt
Run: ~3.4 mi run with slrvj's (L/R) mixed in
- slow, the after effects of each jump would fatigue me.
- felt jumps in quads/calfs
Jumps: 1/4th the way into my 3.4 mi run
- 3 SLRVJ's each at 10' rims
- L SLRVJ: ~10'2 touch on third jump
- R SLRVJ: no 10' touch
- 2 DLRVJ's: no 10' touch

whoa. jumping is crack. Surprised I was even able to hit the rim. Jumps didn't feel so bad tbh, which again is surprising given my weight/havn't jumped in ~2+ years? maybe 3?
I like this "jog and jump" concept hehe. it's fun. Eventually it would be fun to go to a court and just jog back and forth SLRVJ'n off L and R legs nice and relaxed, trying to get 10' touches. This time around i'll probably be SLRVJ'n, both legs, with lots of simple training methods like sprints, jogging, jog and jump, some level of reactive work/bounds/pogos/tucks, stretching etc. 2015 is the year of relaxation, studying (math/comp sci/physics), research / programming, simple training etc.
