Do you have a planned cut anytime soon or are you just going by feel?

Dear God. I weighed 189.7 lbs today. Holy shit. Went and attempted to lift, ab muscle not fully healed. Core exercises flared it up but I managed some leg exercises that didnt require much core stability. Seated calf raises, some ham curls, handful of very light step ups. Im going to attempt to do a few exercises this week core wise and see what happens. Gotta cut this weight off.

Good news is I was still semi bouncy on my warmup jumps.

That's true, I guess I'm just doubting the gains versus potential injury. That's like doing plyos with weight. And I don't see why the body won't adjust back quickly after you remove the weight since most of your day you'll be normal weight then for a small period you'll be heavier. Idk, Im probably over thinking :)

Oh yea I understand that, my only concern/question is wouldn't it ALWAYS be a form of potentiation? If you program it like weights it sort of make sense but wouldn't your body adjust back on a day to day basis? You'd only be wearing it for a fraction of time comparatively to your time spent at true BW. The best bet would be to wear it at all times for a few weeks?

Hell idk, with this line of thinking any lifting is just a form of potentiation. :)

I've dunked with a 20-25lb belt on before. I only tried it a handful of times so I can't speak to its long term effectiveness but I will say this:

-at first....it felt like I had 20+lbs hanging off me lol, I couldn't get up nearly as high obviously.
- after 15-20 mins, my body started adjusting and I could dunk again (not as well but hey, what did you expect lol)
- I took it off after a half hour or so and for the next 10-15 mins I was FLYING compared to pre belt.
- after about a half hour tho my body readjusted (or I got tired) and I was right back around pre belt levels.

Thats repeated itself every time ive used it but like I said...its VERY sparingly. Maybe I'll bust it back out soon!

He tried it OFF THE DRIBBLE! And he still is pretty close. Thats fucking ridiculous. A lob would be difficult but if he works on getting the switch quicker and takes it out of someones hand (ala Guy Dupay) he may well get it. SMH.

Soooo....you're saying last season (2013-14) he weighed more than Dwight Howard? When DHoward is easily bigger and way more shredded? Or that LeBron himself is on record saying he weighed 260 last season in response to Jon Barry claiming he weighed over 270? That just doesn't make sense. Sure Lebron is 6'8-9" and in decent shape but cmon, he'd have to be noticeably chunky or fucking ripped and massive to weigh in much over 260!

I don't know that he was ever 275. His camp has always said he's 250-260. I'd say now he's closer to 235 like he was claimed to be in high school.

Thanks man! I was surprised by how the squats went, I figured it'd be a small struggle. I do always take a moment before warmups and completely clear my mind, focus, and just get in the moment before I lift. I visualize achieving my goals for the day and repeat to myself how easy they'll be. I basically get completely behind the mindset that im 100% rested and ready. It's weird but the mind is a powerful thing and I swear it helps lol

My scale says that at 5'10" and 180lbs I'm at 24% BF.....

Its wrong obviously but the point is you can't judge body fat by this method or that and expect it to be accurate. Like my scale; if I diet down to 175 but don't lift, the scale says im at a lower BF%, but am I really? Did I lose only fat? Only muscle? A combination? This is why i say most methods are unrealistic ESPECIALLY visually IMO because everyone carries their weight differently. I think some call it aesthitics. ;)

True, but he lost his runaway freight train-ness that stopped everyone from stepping in front of him. It will be interesting this year across the NBA!

If he can stay healthy at his new weight, he should be bouncy!

FUCK. First half of 2014 is officially in the books as 'Chris can't stsy healthy'. Lifted PC on Friday and all was great. Deadlifts felt really strong. Monday morning I played ball, longer than expected (4 hours lol) then took a few hours to rest and went to lift. Felt fine during warmups, squats were flying up, started some core work and....pulled a lower abdomen muscle. So now Im alternating ice and compression and have been advised to not do anything for a week or so. Yay. And I was just starting to really get back in a groove basketball and jumping wise. My plant speed was coming back and I was starting to get up quicker and more consistently.  Fuck fuck fuck.

Going to try and cut back a little on food and eat extra clean this week to try and maintain weight. Hopefully I can get this healed up quickly.
