Boxing / Re: 2017/03/04: Thurman v Garcia tonight!!
« on: March 06, 2017, 01:18:11 am »
OMG how the fuk did that other judge have garcia ahead by 115-113. I also had it 116-112. Last few rounds keith thurman started to become less active but picked it up again in the last round.

I also wanted garcia to get knocked out too. But that first round tho, thurman did wat he said, and got garcia against the ropes and really beat him up. But garcia is solid and can take alot of shots. Thurman's uppercuts were good but prob needed more power to wobble garcia.

Thurman seems to get 'weaker' in the middle rounds.. His power disappears. I've noticed this in several fights.. He's absolutely lethal early on, but then he becomes "normal". But I think people are still worried, understandably.. I think if Garcia had been less cautious in the second half of the fight, he could have made it closer.

It's interesting .. You can see the sting disappear from Thurman's shots.. it's almost like a "sprinter" thing -> he's lethal until around 4-6 rounds, after that, he's coasting.

But wat the fuk was up with the advertisement between everyround lol.

ya that's the problem with boxing on non-premium networks :/ sucked.

But I can tell they both gave it their best and I was nervous when the last score card was 115-113 like the one given to garcia and I was like oh shit. Garcia even started to get excited for some reason lol, but hell no, thurman deserved the win, he fought like a true boxer and his agility was amazing.

Didn't know berto was fighting porter. not really a fight to get excited over, but I don't see berto winning that, as he just luckily managed to win the ortiz fight by a knock out.

But thank goodness garcia has been dethroned. But garcia acting as if he thought he won lol, I could see it in his face that he knew he had lost. Anything to not lose face.

EDIT: lol i had a feeling this would happen, im watching post fight conference, until angel garcia complaining about thurman running lol. Last time I remember thurman put the pressure for majority of the fight and he only sees the 1 - 2 rounds he is moving back. Imagine if he fought floyd and lost to him, he would complaing over that same excuse more disappointed then this fight.

Angel Garcia is a joke. That's why I wanted to see Garcia get ko'd.. just so his dad couldn't talk shit.

Garcia definitely knows he lost.. I actually like Garcia personally.. Crazy how his dad makes me want to see him get KTFO'd. Also I felt Garcia (judges) robbed Mauricio Herrera way back in Puerto Rico, deserved an L. Garcia has definitely fought lots of huge fights though, i'm kinda being a hater.

Yoo did you ever see Bleed for this?  The boxing movie about Vinny Pazienza making a comeback after his accident?  If so was it good?  Its available to rent on amazon so i might check ot out.

nah never did. i heard it's good though. I hardly watch any movies, it seems like time always slips by or i'm doing something else instead.

lmk if it's good.

Been weeks since i've wanted to watch 13th on netflix.. dammit.

great fight.. thurman almost got robbed though.

i had it 116-112 for thurman.

really wanted a KO .. all good though, Garcia is dangerous. Thurman hurt him twice early, but Garcia recovered and didn't really taste that power for the rest of the fight.

should be a great fight.. hope Thurman can finally give Garcia the KO he deserves. I respect Garcia & his skills, but I don't see how he's going to be able to take Thurman's power + speed.

also, fuck Garcia's father.. such a POS.

Hope you feel better soon. I hate throwing up and I'm so bad at it too... haha I literally sound like I'm dying.  :ninja:

Seems like you and your gorgeous lady friend are spending some quality time together... happy for you man. ;)

TMI, but this was a purely ass-based bout of food poisoning. last time i had it i puked an astonishing amount and had diarrhea, so this time wasn't as bad. still, need to get my hands on some gatorade or similar on my way to work later (working from home this morning).

and yeah, QT is good. fuck me, i'm still embarrassed by that post.  :uhhhfacepalm:

damn  :o

i've never had food poisoning, and i hope to never get it.

ass based sounds scary.. i'd be worried about the health of my anus "innards". (innards has to be on of the top 5 worst words - re those off topic threads).

OMG ANOTHER SHOCKING AMIR KHAN FIGHT ANNOUNCED  :o  :o

Pacquiao vs Amir khan confirmed for april 23.srsly wtf.

Maybe this can be pacquiao's chance to land a ko on his record or khan to prove himself.
can't wait for this.

http://www.boxingscene.com/pacquiao-vs-khan-on-april-23-fighters-announce-deal-reached--113992

RIP Khan.. :/

i think it'll have some nice action in it early on, but pac is going to eventually knock Khan into another universe. No way he can take a PAC shot.

cool tho..

also................... THURMAN/GARCIA SOON!@$)!@($)@!($)@!($!)@($@!)

man i'm so amped for that fight.. hoping Thurman can KTFO him, but I never count Garcia out anymore.. he's solid. I'd love to see his racist/ignorant dad cry some tears too.
