Everything felt so heavy today  :( I don't know what it was I haven't lifted for 4 days but I was just feeling lethargic and had no bounce.

Squat-
60x5
100x5
110x5x3
70x6

Bench-
barx12
60x12
80x6
100x3
110x1 In hindsight I should have attempted a 2nd rep but mentally wasn't feeling it.
105x3x2 I was annoyed from not doubling 110 so I tripled 105 for 2 sets but it didn't feel easy
85x8

Jumps-
Went to an indoor court and didn't even land a single dunk out of 10 attempts...Just felt slippery compared to concrete and like I said just wasn't feeling energetic today. Shit day.

Bad luck about the 160 (352lbs) failing but congrats on the 152.5x3 PR. Honestly if you were fresh and didn't hit the 152.5x3 prior to attempting 160 I believe you would have got 160 easily. Theoretically with a 152.5x3 your 1RM for the squat should be around 167.5 or even 170 on a good day.  The way I calculated that is most people's 3RM for a bench, squat or deadlift usually equates to a 1RM of 3RM +10%.

100% agree!
There is no need to change plant or anything. Whatever feels the best naturally is the way you should jump.

there was a color clash as both teams were wearing black

what? how?

Bad organisation from the association I suppose.

Here is a picture of my touch team. We play in the Opens comp and we're also the only team that has a female playing with us because we are inclusive <3

First game of touch rugby for the season and the game got called off with 5 minutes to go  :uhhhfacepalm:

I play with some ultra competitive brothers from the Bulldogs squad and it was a close game and the ref was just letting too much shit go. To be fair there was a color clash as both teams were wearing black but it was getting heated. We have some very vocal fans and the ref didn't like what was being said so they called the game off and called it a draw. The team we played won the comp last season and some of us (myself included) have never actually played touch rugby before so we're definitely going to give the comp a shake- if we don't get kicked out LOL! When the game got called we were losing 2-1 with it being 1-1 at half time.

On another note it's amazing how quickly you lose fitness when you don't do cardio for a couple of months!!!

Squat-
60x5
100x5
120x3
115x3x2

I wanted to get squats out the way because I've got my first touch game in a couple of days. Weight wise 120kg was easier than I was expecting but still dropped it down to 115kg for the next couple of sets just because I didn't want to feel like struggling at all.

Rows-
20x12
40x12
60x12
80x12
92.5x5
102.5x5
107.5x5
112.5x5

Chin Ups-

Solid session today but it's what I need after slacking off in the last week and probably since May actually in terms of gym work.

"or was it amusing?" .. wtf?

that's some serious damage. it hit something in the air? a few feet higher and the pilots are toast.

Yeah I could have died but it was amusing LOL! I'm not sure if that reporter is stupid or was just trying to trigger a reaction.

Coconut water is good as well. I try and avoid fizzy drinks as they are literally nothing but empty calories + sugar. I don't have a sweet tooth so to me I don't have any difficulty drinking water or orange juice etc. instead. The only time I drink fizzy is if I get a family feast from KFC and I'll have Pepsi. Or if I go to McDonald's or Burger King but I've started cutting recently so atm I'm literally only ordering the burger by itself.

So much for bench and squats :( One of my friends is going through a divorce so I spent the past couple of days (after work) just hanging out with him and drinking. I didn't end up making it to the AA meeting this week. It's like my whole fkn life revolves around alcohol. I fkn hate it.

In other news one of my rugby team mates posted this:

"Everyone posting their little fitness story's so thought I would get in on it . Here's my warm up from this morning .I do this twice a day!". He's not the fastest in the team but he's definitely one of the fittest so I believe he would actually do this.

Sucks about your mates divorce. I've been there as the consoling party when they just want to sink beers and drown their sorrows. Hard to not do it with them too.

Man, if true then that's a hell of a 10k time. You sure that's not on a bike though haha. The only suspicious thing for me is the HR? Avg of 124 at that pace over 10k?

Yeah I'll just write off last week as a 'deload'. As for whether that's on a bike I'll ask him that haha ;D

Well said! Australia has a similar culture of masculinity. It's not cool to be skinny, which is probably coz 60%+ of the population is classified as either overweight or obese. http://www.huffingtonpost.com.au/2016/02/24/australia-obesity-statistics_n_9154422.html

damn didn't know it was like that over there too .. probably not too many places in the world where being thin is as frowned upon as the US, so sucks that's the case for AU as well.

Being skinny/thin just bothers some men, so damn much. It's astonishing.. I'm sure most of them aren't envious at all, they look at you like you are just inferior & a disgrace to being a man.

When I look at Mo Farah or Kipchoge etc, I see power & strength. Other people see weakness, "refugee", "female", etc. Meanwhile these guys are freaks of nature athletically, and their training is on par with the toughest in the world. Just crazy how people's minds work.

Quote
Same as if you video yourself dunking or lifting some people will criticize you but deep down it's mainly that their envious that they either don't have the confidence or athleticism to do the same feat.

ya there's this weird reaction from envious people .. not saying all people who "hate" or criticize are envious, some of them just genuinely think someone is stupid or inferior for doing whatever it is they are doing .. but for the truly envious ones, that reaction is just incredible to me. For example, if i'm out running and I see someone faster than me, which is extremely rare, i'd be happy af. That'd be exciting to me, i wouldn't be mad, jealous, annoyed .. Just like in dunking; when I was jumping high & landing some nice dunks, I didn't care at all if someone could jump higher or dunk better, in fact, it motivated me and made me excited. I'd also ask them, hey man want to be in my video?! For example, the lion swag video with the dude who could jump out of the gym.. I have a bunch of other videos where I feature people landing all kinds of dunks, simple ones to amazing ones. I guess I just don't identify at all with these "hater" types, they are mysterious to me.

In the words of Conor McGregor, man.. whada buncha fooqn biches.

You're the man! If everyone possessed the same attitude as yours the world be such a more tolerant/better place.

I'm skeptical that he does it twice a day but I don't doubt the time. Earlier this year we raced 100m and I beat him by about 10m so he's probably running low-mid 12's as I went all out and at that time I was running mid 11 seconds.
