Thanks for the props, guys!

Tomorrow begins adarq plan numba 1, with my new shoes that just came. Sweet.

EDIT: This is a bit silly, but the shoes have me absolutely champing at the bit to go work out. I can't wait to see what squats are like with real shoes on instead of elevating my heels on little plates.

COB tomorrow cannot come soon enough. Might even try to dip out of work a little bit early (boss is in Egypt).

Jesus Christ.

Quote from: freedarko.com
From a fan's perspective, Blake Griffin is one of the most amazing athletes I have ever watched, as well as one of the most frightening. It is these same qualities that also likely make him one of the best. I said last night that Griffin is this NBA season's sole must-watch. Why? Pumped-up excerpts don't do him justice, and neither does the removed act of "having the game on". Griffin plays a different sport than everyone else. Wall would swoop in and scramble expectations. Griffin simply ignores that there was anything there before or since, or that showmanship and brute effectiveness need, for practical purposes, go their separate ways in a blink. His method isn't expert chaos, but a space-aged roar that makes you shout out in joy and pain at once -- at both the "how" and the "what".

This is the heart of spectacle, and when you're sucked in, you can't tell which way is up and which is down. It is the end and the beginning, for the game and for the way we parse it. Sometimes, I'm not even sure whether I'm supposed to love or hate him. Once upon a time, man discovered fire. According to the Greeks, Prometheus paid a price, but for an adjective like that, I would give my liver to a buzzard who knew more than I did.

You don't need to eat many times, small portions. That is wrong. You just need to eat a lot.
I read from Vertical Jump Bible whos author is Kelly bagget. He said atleast 5 times a day.

That's one way to do it, people have been gaining on lots of little meals forever. You could also eat a couple of really gigantic meals and then not eat the rest of the day. Or eat three normal meals and snack a bit in between.

Overall calorie intake is what matters.

Well I could but... it feels weird, I mean, to lift the heels just so I can squat narrower instead of squatting wider not to lift the heels.

To clarify: I don't mean stand on your toes, I mean wear lifting shoes or put your feet up on 5# plates or something.

9189
What's wrong with leg pressing?

9190
I don't know how you guys squat narrow stance. If I were to squat narrow stance, 1/2 squat would be the lowest that I'd get until I would fall on my back so I'd have to compensate by leaning forward A LOT. The only way to squat narrow is if I lift my heels like a beauty queen.

So why don't you?

Huh. Where did you find the study?

9193
For one thing, oly lifters wear oly shoes, which tend to help with depth. Your depth is great in that video, why would you want to go lower?

The old farts had taken over the court tonight. Plus I got blood drawn for some tests earlier in the day. Not a lot, but still kept it on the short side at the gym.

warm up
jump rope
light foam roll
boo LeBron
mobility/stretches

work
depth jump 2x5x18" -- figured out why I suck so much at these...
depth drop 2x3x30" -- harder barefoot (as I did them tonight) than with shoes
squat STIM 2x285, 2x295 -- easy

cool down
stretch
boo LeBron
