so much hype for cleveland.

in the end, people will just blame GSW for having a super team and it's not a healthy competition.

Spurs vs Cavs would have been more interesting.

CLE are just as bad though aren't they. Kyrie, Love and Lebron vs Curry, Klay and Durant. Add in Smith, Korver, Williams, etc vs Green, Iguodala, Barnes, etc.

I like what a lot of older players (Doc Rivers, etc) are coming out and saying there's no way they would have let themselves do the super team thing due to their competitive nature. Like taking the shortcut.

man this is so exciting.. can't wait. two juggernauts about to collide.

Boxing / Re: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao - May 2, 2015

Was pacquiao a disapointment in this match like clottey was in his match against pacquiao?

nah, Clottey was the ultimate disappointment vs pac.. That night, he could have shocked the world IMHO.

pac was also potentially hurt vs PBF .. that rotator cuff injury. I mean, he was throwing fast/hard bombs in the fight, can't see how his rotator was wrecked, seems impossible given the kind of punches he threw.

pac/pbf was a disappointment for other reasons .. i mean it pretty much went how I expected it to go.. It was hyped as some mega-fight that would be packed with action, but given PBF's ability to neutralize offensive fighters like PAC, they gave people the wrong expectations. Pac had no chance vs PBF's genius defense/speed. PBF is the Cobra tamer.. might be boring to lots of fans, but it's impenetrable & no one has really figured out how to crack it.. maybe Maidana a little bit in the first fight, but he came in at like 175 lb and mugged PBF.. That's definitely a good strategy. Notice how he came in lighter in the second fight & tried to actually box? Absolutely 0 chance.

damn he broke his other eye socket? RIP :/

Yeah Brook taking a knew was nothing to be ashamed of, especially considering his eye was broken.. If he took a knee, he was in some serious pain. He's got heart.

Also one thing I love about Spence, he's calling out Thurman... Dude wants to fight the best ASAP. People have been ducking Spence for a while, expectedly because of the money.. but no excuse now.

what a fight.. damn!!!!

seifullaah73 you see it?

spoiler:

Spence didn't even look sharp either.. He started out rusty, got sharper as the fight went on. His power is legit. If he touches you, damage. And man you just have to love his vicious body attack. He is committed to destroying the body, love it. I think that's what really did Brook in, he just couldn't handle some of those body shots, which had him dropping his hands alot more in the later rounds & Spence was able to land some uncontested shots. Then obviously that eye injury/accumulated damage just did him in. Brook is a beast & has a ton of heart, but you can see Spence is on another level.

Absolutely love UK fans, so much energy.

Someone that is faster and more explosive has the edge during crunch time, because his fatigued state is still faster/higher than say someone less exposive's fatigued state.

See this is the problem with thinking that basketball players will be super strong. Someone that is less fatigued overall will be in a better position to make smarter decisions and less turnovers than someone stronger who is more fatigued.

yup. conditioning & skills pay the bills in most team sports.

Having said that I saw something recently where Steph Curry trap bar deadlifted 400. Not strong for an elite athlete but it certainly surprised me.

very strong for an NBA player his height/weight, definitely. Relative to his BW, it's probably elite level among NBA players. NBA athletes also need some kind of height/bw relative measurement too.. You could be 240 lb with a 900 foot wingspan, making things like T-BAR DL and BENCH much more difficult.

All I know about Curry, is he can hit 3-pointers from ~15 ft behind the NBA 3-pt line with accuracy, in the 4th quarter.  :ibsquatting:  :ninja:

75 points at the half for CLE.. kinda nuts.

BOS actually has a slightly above normal amount of points at halftime. lol.
