Another good session. I'm loving the progress that I'm making at the moment. It's soo much easier to just go to to the gym and train when you're not playing rugby league on Sundays, training state on Mondays, training at Bulldogs on Wednesdays and then training at Bulldogs on Fridays.

just curious, do you still maintain your SVJ? have seen parts of your log, and seems like you're focused completely on just lifting now

still in the mid to high 30s the last time i did them (not more than 2 months ago). i'm very strong lately on the squat and that started after the last cycle of SVJs.

i'm closing in again to a 2.4+ bw squat ratio. my best jumps starts happening at this level of strong.

Have you ever timed yourself or been timed for the 40 yard dash? I know your focus is on vertical but it'd be interesting to see how that transitions into the 40 yards as there is usually a correlation between relative strength and a fast 40.

Wow it's Sunday morning and the last 2 days I just been partying. Friday night I got smashed celebrating my promotion and yesterday I had a wedding. Friday morning my weight was 82.5 this morning I woke up and my weight was 85.6kg  :o

Edit-  I was contemplating whether to train today but I decided against it. I woke up feeling fairly seedy. Instead I just wrote up a workout of what I plan to do tomorrow. At this stage I've been delaying doing any track work but I'm keen to start doing some again soon- At this stage I'm thinking it'll be December due to starting a new job. Other than that I just need to work on getting more sleep + diet. One day at a time...

Basketball / Re: The Big Baller Brand is Embarrasment to BBALL, humanity

Obviously I don't feel sorry for the guy since he's in the NBA literally making millions but surely he'd be thinking to himself that he wishes his dad would just shut the fuck up!!!

I posted a video of his dad a couple weeks ago. The media and commentators love his dad because they just clown on him and his dad loves the attention even if people are taking the piss out of him- No such thing as bad publicity...

Simmons is a beast though. If he can remain injury free he has a great shot at winning ROY but it's still early days yet. I'd love to see the 76ers make the playoffs since fans haven't had much to cheer about ever since Iverson left.

Futbol (soccer) / Re: 2018 World Cup Qualifiers
« on: November 15, 2017, 06:07:15 am »
Australia has made the World Cup!!!

Junior participation rates for soccer are fairly strong in Australia but honestly it's literally behind rugby league, AFL, and cricket in terms of popularity. Ivory Coast, Italy and the Netherlands all missing out is a huge shock as Ivory Coast are an African heavyweight and Italy and the Netherlands have traditionally always been dominant forces in world soccer.
