Was showing off about my low HR on instagram yesterday. Today i realised i was bragging about something that was probably a symptom of hypothyroid. lol. lol. At the end of the 28 day cut, im going to get a thyroid test done.

Good to get it checked.

I had a test done in feb when i went to hospital for flutter. But since then i haven't had one but it showed i was subclinical hypo. I think if i get it done again i'll be defo clinical hypo b/c the previous test was done in the evening and i wasn't completely fasted etc. Interesting to read tho that green tea has been conjured to reduce thyroid activity by about 50%. Now im not sure if that was done on humans or just animals but it might be related because in feb i'd been taking EGCG 1200mg a day for about 10 days straight prior to the week of the episode.

Do you think, with the current issues you have been experiencing that dropping 400mg of caffeine daily is going to help you out? I don't know how serious your heart condition was but this doesn't really make sense to me.

No caffeine of that amount seems to be bad for my sleep which is definitely a major reason i had flutter in feb. I tolerate 200mg a day fine, 400mg and up (600mg if i take it 3x a day) seems to cause sleep issues which sets me up for having another episode. But being fat is worse, long term. I need to get lean and then figure out how to fix my thyroid issues and then hopefully i can address the heart stuff. It's all mess.

There's fat and then there's fat. I doubt you're proper fat that's going to give you health issues long term though. Lean/fit and health don't always go together too well.

I tolerate caffeine really well but still have issues when taking higher doses in one hit. Had a monster energy drink the other week. 220mg in one hit and I was seeing stars. Admittedly it was in the afternoon and I'd already had 3 coffees for the day.

i'm cheering for lebron but his teammates are so out of it. this celtics team is going to get murdered by golden state.

i saw the game of the year bos @ GS but this is with kyrie doing whatever he wants at will.

Yeah it's going to be a hard finals series to watch if that's the case.

Lebron 42
Love 22
Rest of team 30

i haven't watched a lot of full basketball games the last two years because the timing sucks so much. but man watching a full 48 of houston offense is just awful. harden is great and all but it seemed like they had like 10 easy layups/dunks and the rest was iso ball or a pass to a covered shooter with 4 seconds left.

it's so weird because mr. seven seconds or less himself is their coach. go figure.

This is so true and why they won't win a championship with that setup. They are one of my least favourite teams to watch for that reason.

damn CLE got owned.

don't expect that to happen in game 2 but, given how solid CLE was playing in TOR, major win for BOS, so dominant.

Haven't seen any footage but from the numbers it looks like CLE just had one of those games. At least the series will go to 5 games now  :ninja:

Just watched the highlights. I think Lebron had some $$ on the Celtics. That's the only explanation I've got.

hah.

ya lots of BOS fans talking sh*t but, really doubt Lebron performs like that in game 2.

Yeah I love the talk on Boston now. James' under performance was the absolute difference in that game. He performs and CLE win. Like you said I can't imagine him playing that poorly again.

Did love his play recall in the post game interview though. Pretty freaky memory.

was looking for that clip, damn that is GREAT! hah. especially with the spliced in footage of it actually happening. LEBRON.

Also, incredible how many BOS fans are talking so much shit, as if Larry Bird didn't have a bad game (or an entire shit series), or Brady never lost a superbowl. Come on BOS fans.. I know a few hardcore BOS fans, losing some respect for them as sports fans. lmao.

Haha yeah I can't wait to see how game 2 goes down. I imagine him having 15-20 before quarter time.

Upper body sesh

Warm up- shoulder and scap stuff

Push Ups- 3x8
Inverted Rows- 3x8

1 arm DB floor press- 2x10 @ 16kg
Single Arm cable pull down- 2x10 @ 25kg

DB Bicep curls- 2x8 @ 10kgs
Tricep Push down- 2x8 @ 25kgs

Stretching

11/05/18

Went for a swim. Got 100m in and my left shoulder was giving me hell. Decided to call it and sit in the steam room for 10 mins before going home.

Did get one of those bodypod scans before my swim. It gave me 9.6% bf which is a bit generous but when I look at things I basically have no fat on my body except for some around my midsection so overall it's probably lower than I would usually think. It actually makes me reconsider my consistent attempts to cut fat and have a lower cal intake. I might be best to eat above maintenance for a while and just see how things go from there.

12/05/18

Legs

Warm Up- ido squat, HF and calf stretches

Squat- bar x 10, 60 x 5, 80 x 3, 100 x 3, 90 x 5, 5

Shrimp Squat- bw x 5, 5
SL elevated glute bridge- bw x 5, 5

3 position Calf Stretch- 45s each position each leg

Jefferson curl- 2 x 10 @10kg with 10s hold on last rep

Came across this again today. The shot, the block and the D by K Love on Curry. So good.

What a comeback by Pelicans. 100-107 with 1:43 left

Shame they couldn't keep it going.

LEBRON.

ez work. insane fade in the 3rd. some awesome passes. JR/Love lighting it up. Hill with some nice dunks.

CLE is rolling.

Hope BOS/CLE goes 7 but this is starting to look like the CLE juggernaut is back, at least in the East.

feel a bit for TOR ...... brutal for them.

Lebron has the most ridiculous fade away I've every seen. He also looks like he still has another gear to two to go up.

Definitely looking forward to the next series with BOS/CLE and HOU/GSW. I still see CLE/GSW making it though.

I feel for TOR too. Lowry's face after game 3 said it all. I feel for Utah as well. If they had Rubio I honestly think they'd tied 2-2.

damn! so you definitely broke it?

i got punched in the nose with the palm once, bled like crazy too but luckily it didn't break.

#contactSports :ninja:

also that really sucks about the elbow tendinitis. that made me stop playing tennis. it got so bad i just stopped completely and never went back. took forever to heal. running actually helped it alot i think. tennis really f'd me up come to think of it: hip reinjured, hand/knuckle tendinitis, elbow tendinitis.

damn heal up man!!

Thanks.

I never got scans but heard a crack when I got hit and had all the hallmarks of the broken nose. It's still healing now.

Yeah the elbow is a shit one. I ignored it for quite a while and was just too lazy about it. Just need to be consistent with my efforts to rehab and I'll be fine. If I can get the scap and shoulder strong that will make a huge difference too.

First gym sesh back in 3 weeks.

Warm Up-
Banded pull aparts and pull downs, yuri shoulder sequence, ido squat sequence

Squats-
bar x 10, 60 x 5, 80 x 3, 100 x 1
I had hamstring and adductor cramps on both the 80kg set and the 100kg single. Had planned on more reps and the strength was definitely there but the cramp feelings were bizarre and threw me off. Didn't want to fail these either. I'm assuming it was the extreme inactivity I have experienced over the last three weeks combined with the less than ideal diet that took me down that path. Let's hope next time will be different.

Did some trap 3 raises and cuban rotations between sets. Finished off with some hip flexor, and adductor stretches.

Physio again on elbow. It's definitely improving but there are some adhesions along the ulnar which are likely related to the shoulder and scap issues I have had in the past. This is the number 1 priority in the next few weeks.
