Shoes / Re: No socks?
« on: August 06, 2017, 12:35:32 pm »
anyone here run/sprint with no socks?

today i got a bunch of sand in my socks/shoes .. so I took my socks off and finished the 2nd half of the session without shoes, felt really good. I guess I also have the correct type of shoes to run barefoot in, the sole doesn't dig into my foot at all, no ridges etc. I'm speaking of my saucony's - Saucony Shay XC4.

i know some runners do it.. might try it out more.

i used to with VFF + ocassionaly in my inov8s --- it would make them stink so bad though which was the only really downside.

ah damn, i just remembered i'd go no socks with vibrams too.. hadn't even crossed my mind.

ya my vibrams stunk so bad too.

i've never done it in regular shoes until recently. I wonder if my flats will end up stinking as bad, they seem like a different substance inside.. less "rubbery".

LOMA is really pissing me off with the show boating and tapping marriaga on the head etc.. LOMA is doing some Broner shit, really annoying.

honestly, hope he gets KTFO'd.

good fight though, Marriage is playing it very defensive but he's throwing bombs on occasion.

1. Start keeping a training diary

“I have kept a training diary to record my training plans and my feelings and emotions for a long time. Before this year’s London Marathon I could look back and remember how I was feeling last year which is very helpful. You learn a lot. I have been keeping my diary for the last 13 years so if you come to Kenya I can show you what I was doing in 2003.

you don't hear an athlete say that too often. that's beast.

"some people die at 25, but they aren't buried until they are 70"

oh ya i know he wasn't close to 13'. fast does lie was saying you needed 15 inches above the rim, so i wanted to prove him wrong by saying that J clark wasn't close to 13' on that jump and made the dunk on 11'8.

ah ok.

ya you need 4" for a tip in dunk which people will debate is a dunk, 6" MINIMUM IMHO for a legit dunk, 8" ideal.. 12" = landing hard dunks.. 18+" = murdering the rim like a monster.

This is a special edition to my Boxing Skills Series. The goals of these types of videos is to educate New and old boxing fans how fundamentally sound that fighter is. While trying to debunk the stereotypes of that fighter. For example. Canelo Alvarez, I showed that he has quite an underrated defense and exquisite head movement. Personally I'm not a fan of Floyd but as a boxing fan I know Floyd is not a runner and the purpose of this video is to debunk this stereotype.

YESSSS!!!!!!!! I am so happy for gatlin and feel bad for bolt. I didn't know gatlin had it in him but he managed to do it. It's just like the marquez win over pacquiao.

Gatlin deserved it over the negative booing from the crowd, this is a stick it moment to the crowd for booing him. Also that win he almost had before messing up and bolt winning, now gatlin finally wins and I am so pleased for him.

EDIT: I just found bolt came third, coleman second. Ah well Bolt still a legend but so happy for gatlin.

wow what a race..

and damn coleman is fast. this dude is burnin' every time i see him.

damn.

some quotes from mo on his recent 10k win

http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/40834447

Quote
"It was one of the toughest races of my life," said Farah. "The guys gave it to me, it wasn't about Mo, it was about 'how do we beat Mo?'

"You had the Kenyans, the Ethiopians, the Ugandans, everybody working as a team against me. Fair play to them, they worked it hard and they chucked everything at me.

"At one point in the middle of the race I wasn't thinking I was going to lose, but I thought 'this is tough, this is tough'."

^^ i'm staying away from it until i see it, but i've heard about it from several different sources.

awesome screen cap of Gatlin .. I basically write off cheaters forever .. but, it is impressive if he's clean & got this W, at his "old age", and was able to defeat the King. Can't really hate on that.. plus he gets booed/shitted on all the time -> if he paid his dues and has stayed clean, that has to really suck.

Almaz_Ayana is a beast. self coached apparently too. Destroyed everyone yet again, in the women's 10k.

breaking 2 full race

man kipchoge is unreal. he always looks like you're just watching a small clip infinitely looped over.
