Everyone who dedicates themselves to the barball over a considerable amount of time should be respected, regardless of size or the load that happens to be on the bar.

with flander's caveat (i.e. 20 years of doing it wrong and getting nowhere doesn't count), i agree with this. i'd actually expand it to say that long-term dedication to doing anything well deserves respect.*

*inb4 what about serial killers?

Havent seen u in abit man, thx for checkin in ha.

Hey, wat balance stuff are u talkin abt?

I only do the standin on one leg for time thing for proprioception, but that was 2 months ago, when the ankle was worse..

that's what i'm talking about. you can mix it up, too: closing your eyes, throwing a ball against the wall, etc. i'd keep doing it, if i were you. my ankle's been healthy for months now and i still do balance stuff.

ah, so borderline MR it is. sorry, man. that's a heavy cross to bear.

got better jumps when i start a little slower and build up momentum rather than an all out explosion then some braking prior to jump to get timing right... so now will really focus on a build up of momentum and make sure the last 3 steps involve no deceleration.

well put. this needs to be my mantra...

putting in good work. have you been doing any balance work for your ankle(s)? saw a review abstract recently that suggested that balance training might help improve athletic performance, in addition to the obvious rehab benefits.

I became interested in the ketogenic diet two and one-half years ago when I used a modified form (called a cyclical ketogenic diet) to reach a level of leanness that was previously impossible using other diets.

I guess the ketogenic diet is the only diet you can get lean on.

Sillies. You can get lean on a diet of junk food/exercise as long as you take note of caloric intake.

way i see it, there are three options here:

1. you've still never read anything lyle has written. pretty much no one on the internet is more of an "it depends" guy than lyle, except maybe alan aragon.
2. you're borderline MR and/or illiterate.
3. you're trolling.

Calories in, calories out.

Its not rocket science, it's the most simple thing on earth.

"At 325 pages and containing over 600 scientific references", lol.

He's just blagging peoples heads with irrelevant info.

oh, so you haven't ACTUALLY read anything he's written. fair enough, i guess.

now i'm not sure if you're serious. who is a better resource for diet and nutrition, free online, than lyle? nutswinging aside, i'm curious.

BW = ???
SORENESS = chest, lats, midback, glutes and quads a little bit
ACHES/INJURIES = right calf but not as bad as it's been
FATIGUE = none
DIET = good

-jog @ easy pace x ~30 mins w/2:30 walks to warm up and cool down
much more uncomfortable than the last run

-stretch

Has anyone tried this diet?. Or is it just a pile junk like the rest of his stuff?.

x2

x3 Lyle's a an asshole. But he's an informed and competent asshole with a clear writing style.

and, it's worth mentioning, a generally self-aware and unrepentant asshole.

his stuff on diet and nutrition is consistently better than anything else on the interwebs. if you want to know about ketogenic dieting enough to buy a book about it, i think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better one than his. although from that link i guess you were going to pirate it.

What will happen if someone adds cleans/snatches before a hypertrophy session. and Why? For example Having 7 sets of 3 reps of Cleans then 4sets of 10 of Squats? Will there be any progress?

any progress on what? what are you trying to get out of the cleans/snatches? what are you trying to get out of the hypertrophy? how intense will the clean/snatches be? how about the squats?

come on, now.
