Yea....I'm with LBSS. For example tale one of my workouts for ball (not exact but similar):

Warmup/dynamic stretches for 15 mins

2 ball drills for handles for about 10 mins (also great warmup)

Then depending on the day I hit perimeter moves/shooting (pullups/coming off screens/stepbacks and driving drills/layups for about an hour. HARD. Faster than game speed. I dont count shots. I count the makes. Most moves/spots I need 5 buckets. Ex: wing extended position,  in out into a crossover and stepback 3. 5 of them. Swishes. Then onto the next move. Finish that spit and move to the other wing, ft extended, top of the key, baseline etc.

I only practice moves I use in a game during these drills. The key is game speed reps make everything second nature. No defense during a game plays me.as hard as I do during training.

Then once im dead I shoot fts and spot up 3s strictly for form work. Have to shoot a % on those. 85% ft, 50% 3s. Hard to do on rubber legs.

Then I jump lol but thats just me. So thats a sample of what I do, gathered from years of playing and watching D1, semi-pro, and overseas guys train.

Other positives...you'll be in game shape, without ever running a wind sprint. Ever. An hour of game situation training makes playing 35-40mins cake.

Then theres days where I go ham and do full court drills with cones/chairs and a defender picking me up at the key. Thats when I work on mew moves and crazy stuff lol

We won our first game. Blowout. Teams going to be strong this year,  good mix of players so we've got flexibility on offense and good size for rebounding. Guard play is good as well, even without me. So we should put up some good numbers. I ended with 12 points, 7 rebounds,  3 assists and a pretty emphatic block along with 2 very sick up and under reverse layups. In 16 minutes. Sat the entire second half because we were up 20. Got in a dunk off after the game with 2 other guys (6'4" lanky guy from my team and a 6'6" guy from another team) and got hyped up pretty good. Was flying! Between the crowd and them pushing me I was crushing stuff. Killed a windmill, had a huge reverse off glass and backironed a 2 handed 360 which surprised the hell out of me! Even tried catching an oop from the 3rd hash mark but the oop wasnt great and I back ironed it....left handed. Havent got up like that in maybe ever!!

Anyway thats my update. :) super stoked for next Mondays game! Gotta lay off the turkey Thursday tho!

I gotta learn to turn the phone on before I wear myself out.  Really thinking of asking for a cheap vid cam for Christmas.  GoPro sounds nice.

Anyway heres some vids from Sunday. These are all.from the last 15 minutes of the day. I could feel my legs coming and going but hey, gotta push through.

Two hander, working on the self bounce/lob. Works pretty well IMO.

Ummm....I tried some SL stuff. This is a hilarious SL attempt of my R leg, so...opposite my normal SL junk. Lefty attempts FTW!
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpBpMOz1ops" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpBpMOz1ops</a>

Another miss. Trying to extend where I can take off from.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUvjBus82_U" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUvjBus82_U</a>

Pump reverse fail!!! After watching the vid two things stand out... 1. If I dont pump all the way to my knees I might get it. Notnan option tho. Go big or stop lol! And 2. Im definitely over thinking the dunk. Im worried about timing it and not jumping as high as I can/should.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSLRsy1Irtw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSLRsy1Irtw</a>

Said hell.with it....regular reverse.
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZVB5XwOrM4" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZVB5XwOrM4</a>

Annnnnd last jump before I collapsed over on the bench. Definitely shocked I got up like this after 4 hours. Makes me want to do a day of only jumps/dunks soon. No playing. All energy and focus on jumping.

Well thats it, enjoy and feedback as usual is welcome!

Thanks!!! I'm gonma try!

Went and hooped for 4 hours today. Got in a rec league that starts tomorrow lol! I'll keep you guys updated on how it goes. Played against some local juco college players....killed it. Played a very complete game today. Shot was good, pullup and 3 ball. Was getting to the rim easy because the handle was on point and made good decisions at the rim in regards to score vs drop off dimes. Played pretty well on D too. Had two big helpside blocks and affected a few more.

Finished off with 30 mins of dead leg dunks lol! Somwhow still hit a 360 so I decided to film on the phone but couldn't get it again. :( Got rim stuffed on a huge pump reverse (imo lol). I was getting it over the rim last week so I think my legs were just going.  :/ anyways I'll toss up the vids in a little. :)

Ohh. All at 178lbs BW too. :)

I can roll with that LBSS. Because over the last few years ive often wondered what my ceiling would have been had I started earlier. He was athletic to begin with yes but by no means a 'freak' like tdub. That makes me feel a little better about being able to make it to the 'next level'.

Yup, just checked too. That's his first 10' on cam for sure. It is 25 June 2009.

This is his friend Pat Kingsley introducing him to the yt dunk community 15 days earlier:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9LeaVxKAKg
He says he can dunk 10' in the description.

I do remember that specific video you are saying, can't find it. It was a couple of months before the 10' dunk, Rim was 9'9'' or 9'10'', he could dunk it rather good but it made you wonder if he could dunk 10'. I remember very clear that i didn't expect at all when i saw that 10' lob.

Whatever, he is #1 right now imho. Word , between all those beasts/legends out there, currently i feel he is the best!

Agreed with the best today, easy. Might be time tontake kDobbs nickname lol! But yea those are the videos I was thinking of. :/ Glad im not crazy lol

The lob dunk is. The description is vague as to if it was his first dunk or not tho. Timeline is about right.

I KNOW he used to have a vid of him barely getting a dunk on like 9'9 or 9'10 and his brother going crazy. High school gym I think he was like 16 maybe? It was on his channel for forever. :/ hmmmm.

Edit: He said in a interview with Just-Fly sports he first dunked at 16 and was 6ft tall. Coincides with the video I saw but a quick search of youtube brought up squat. :/

Damn good question lol!

As a motivational factor maybe toss up his vids from 5-6 years ago where he could barely dunk 9'9".

Good god man.

...I know you said you got burnt out on your cut and that's why you stopped training but you can't expect to be near where you were lifts wise after dropping so much BW! I still go back to this, its easier to start lean/light/whatever and add muscle slowly than it is to go ham then try a drastic cut. Extended cuts are depressing IMO. Not only for the mental aspect of strict dieting but watching your lifts drop some isnt great either.

I guess ive just seen more unathletic 'skinny' guys pack on muscle and become athletic than larger guys drop a ton of weight and get there. :/

It happens because its the quickest way to get there. SL jumps will always be quicker. I'm also a better DL jumper but I'd say in games its easy 75/25 SL:DL jumps. Easy. Just the nature of the game.

All said....how much did you lose on this cut? BW wise...
