Hopefully for Chris's sake he can overcome the adversity, stay clean, and get back to the AFL against the odds just like how he made it to the AFL to begin with. This guy is an absolute jet and was one of the most exciting players in the game with his running bounces and skill level.
I don't understand the transition from "I despised drugs" to "I tried ice that night". To me that's unfathomable.
Glad he seems recovered, but he probably did alot of damage to his body/brain on that stuff.. :/
Also what's up with the running bounces? Does he have to do that in order to keep running with the ball or something?
Yes I found that weird as well how he went from despising drugs to trying them. He said in the video he wanted to try ice to "have a good night". I can only speculate that he was in a bad state of mind mentally at the time. It's sad that it came as a result of a family member though bringing him down and shit. Ultimately he did it to himself but it's still shows the negative influences that you can have around you when you go back to somewhere that you worked so hard to overcome from
If not physically he's definitely damaged himself mentally. As you know I'm not big on religion at all but it's encouraging (if he is clean) that his newfound faith is helping him overcome his addiction. The rehab story was unsurprising. I remember seeing a documentary about another one of my favourite players (Ben Cousins) who also had an ice addiction and the stuff that the 'professionals' would put in his mind was soo self-defeatist and you just knew that he was bound to get back on the pipe.
In Aussie Rules football you need to bounce the ball every 15 meters.
<- imagine that's a boxing gif.

Gym was refurbished nicely, they added same equipments, but new ones and also added a leg press machine. As tempting as that sounds, I won't be using that leg press any time soon. The workout was alright, ok runs, I run as best as I could, but lacked the explosiveness in my start but it was a good strong run second half of the run then fatigue will settle in later. Windy a little from behind, then from the side.
8/18
