No I don't smoke ecigs anymore, quit for a few months.

I didn't know it was arrogant to call out someone that is totally disrespecting the league with his behavior and the NY bball organization, known as the "mecca of bball"

adios!

interesting .. you have problems with Joakim disrespecting the league, but no problem disrespecting athletes when they fail to live up to your expectations, no problem disrespecting people personally on this forum - in addition, without facts which makes it even worse, no problem disrespecting the forum in general.

some introspection is severely needed...

your arrogance seems toxic to your improvement & ability to get along with others.

and if adios means "goodbye forever" or something like that, then i guess good riddance.

but go on, let's applaud him for being a class act athlete.  :highfive:  If i was the owner of a bball organization and was paying a guy 17,000,000+ a year to be a solid bball player, id at least hope he puts more dedication to getting better than living the fast life.....

but you're not.. sounds like you spend alot of your time degrading others & not looking inward, improving yourself.

to use your analogy above: you're basically the garbage bin of this forum.

but hey, let's applaud you for creating shit posts all day & proving the neg button works.

and hold up.. don't you fucking smoke cigs and e-cigs/vape? wtf?

arrogant as fuck.

maybe you were onto something in that other post I just replied to .. go away.

Filled in for the ball team last night. Caught a bounce pass about 5 mins in and the ball felt like it had an egg in it. I stopped and looked at the ball. No problems there. Put my hand back on it and felt the same thing again. Passed the ball off and it was only then that I noticed the first knuckle on my finger had dropped. Two hospital visits and an x-ray later and I have ruptured the extensor tendon on the right hand ring finger. Now I've got 8+ weeks in a splint to look forward to. I have that FML feeling going on but this presents some opportunities to work on things I wouldn't normally work on so there's always that.

damn.. ya it looked bad from that photo you posted earlier. surprised you didn't know what it was when it happened, sounds pretty serious.

that's some unfortunate news man. :/

heal up man.

hehe, keep the negs coming, more fuel to reach 40 svj!

might as well just ban you then and get it over with? that'll give you enough fuel to reach 40" SVJ, no?

if every time I refresh the forum I have to see you neg bombed or some ridiculous thread like the "natty sprinter thread" or the joakim thread, might as well just get it over with right now. The fact that you seem to enjoy getting negged is annoying.

maybe just create a FDL's random thoughts thread and put everything in there from now on? then, as your random thoughts start to improve and showcase more forethought, slowly progress back to creating threads?

ffs.

It's not my fault you guys don't see how ridiculous joakim noah is. His FT % has gone from 65 to 60, 55, 50, low 40s as his career progressed and you guys are sticking up for him.... posting dumb videos to prove that "oh everyone airballs sometime" .... no everyone does not airball freethrows to the direct left or right of the basket lol, that has never happened in nba history except with noah recently in his career..... people have airballed it short but not to the direct left or right of the hoop....

i mean a lot of sprinters have been suspected of using ped's, most of usain bolt's teammates, tyson gay, gatlin, etc.... i dunno ban me or just tell me i don't want u on my site, either one will work

apparently you want me to do something .. which is interesting, because that's what i've been doing. I've been giving you suggestions. maybe you have it in your head that we all just don't want you here at all, but somehow we're letting you stick around?

so, since you requested me to tell you something, here it is, one last time:

stop being so thoughtless. stop creating such shit threads. stop creating thoughtless shit threads. stop creating threads with insulting titles. stop making thoughtless antagonistic replies. stop basking in your negs.

It's really so simple.

Finally, the title of your Joakim thread is pathetic. It's just incredibly arrogant. I mean that cardio dribbling video you posted wasn't in the least bit impressive, and here you are calling some professional athlete a douche bag. The arrogance in combination with such a soft foundation is just ridiculous.

Anyway, very tired of addressing it. Being respectful & intelligent on a forum is easy. Figure it out please, fast.

Thanks

bw = 156
soreness = right calf slightly (NICE!! not too bad), left PF barely, glutes slightly
-- nice!
-- edit: hamstrings, glutes, and quads especially got pretty sore as the day went on, right calf moderate, left PF slightly
aches/injuries = none
-- nice!

walk:
- ~8:30 AM - ~11 AM
- moderate intensity walk with dead legs
- pretty good pace considering .. legs definitely dead, no pop, but still basically everything over 4 mph
- lost 6 lb water like usual for 9 miles

bw right after:
- ng pullups: BW x 11
-- nice
- full dips: BW x 10

after the walk, had oranges, grape fruit, coconut water, protein/milk, and watermelon juice.. solid af.

edit: ate a ton .. feel wrecked.

so that was the last workout for today & tmw.. tmw = complete rest. Actually about to go to an Argentinean steakhouse and get a skirt steak I think.

plan for fri/sat/sun:
fri: AM: very high volume stepups, PM: light walk
sat: AM: light walk, PM: track
sun: AM: very high volume stepups, PM: light walk
mon: rest
tues: AM: very light walk, PM: track

i want to push the stepups for a few days and see what happens on the following track days.

tentative schedule that will surely change.

i have tons of fractures and complete breaks, worst one my wrist, in basketball.. i gave up contact sports completely after boxing, and prior to that i gave up basketball because of the injuries. i'm Mr Glass.

Wow, that's pretty bad, did you get good nutrition and stretch ankles, hamstrings, etc before those times you play contact sports?

nutrition growing up wasn't too good i imagine.. drank tons of milk though. several broken fingers, broken wrist, torn calf (someone knee'd it when i was going up for a layup), only one sprained ankle. my ankles have always been really strong.. most of my teammates/friends had several severe sprains.

Quote
I used to sprain my ankle a lot and the worst is when you sprain a tendon, cause it takes months and months to fully heal..... but after I started to stretch my ankles religiously, i could almost land on someone's foot and be reactive enough to not let it tear anything by straightening out my ankle.

damn. stretching them too much can actually cause more problems though. so you're lucky you didn't hurt em more, pretty cool if it helped though.

here's the most simple solution to this "story". anyone (FDL) who thinks it's easy to improve freethrows/shooting percentage, do this:

1. train the ability to shoot with your off hand
2. once you get proficient, report back
3. use it in games, report back

it's a solid experiment IMHO... most people are virgins with their off hand, here you have a clean slate.. can start from scratch with perfect form.

I've done it .. took like 6 months to get really good with my left in practice, then another 6-12 months to be able to pull it off confidently in games (mostly street games, wasn't playing in leagues/school at the time). I was a shooter though.. the hardest part if the confidence of using it in a game. So, take that idea to someone who shoots with "sh*t form" or has confidence issues to begin with, or someone who just isn't a good shooter, and try to develop the ability to shoot high percentage freethrows in games?? it's so damn difficult. If it weren't difficult, these guys you see being paid millions of dollars would just do it.. does anyone here think they want to shoot 60% or less from the line?

that's why this argument always annoys me..

if it were easy, they would fix it. no one in their right mind would want to keep bricking freethrows especially in critical situations. You can even have amazing shooters who can't hit freethrows & shots in the clutch, there's a massive mental/sports psychology side of it in actual games.

heh.

joakim isn't a shooter. if it were easy to fix, he would. that's probably due to over a million shots with bad form.

GGG's power on that mitt/bag was nasty, but those shots were so ugly. Canelo could counter that all day. Canelo looks like the "legit boxer" that's for sure, but I wouldn't expect anything different. Canelo has the skills, but can he handle that power? That's what makes this fight so interesting. TBH, I think he can outbox GGG and win.

going to be a hell of a fight.

totally forgot to mention..

another reason why I love FAU's track: like 30 pretty ridiculous (pretty/in shape) chix were doing yoga right on the end of the inside of the track.

i don't creep/stare at people, but it does make for an extra testosterone/adrenaline boost in my experience. lmfao.

Yeah training for vertical/explosiveness is so injury prone. I have a weaker right knee because I slightly tore my LCL during a stretch 6 months ago and it never fully healed, had it been a bad tear i would have needed surgery and it would fully heal, but small tears don't need surgery and doesn't affect running/jumping much. But i could totally re injure it if I go up for a l-r slvj block in a game and land awkwardly with my right leg.

damn.

FWIW, i've had WAAAY more injuries related to distance running, than jumping. I was actually way healthier while verting than I have been with running. But, i've also done tons of dumb shit like try and change my foot strike & such while distance running, that probably accounted for like 30% of the injuries.. no one should ever do that. Just run, get stronger, get lighter, run faster, and stuff will change for the better. Just like in jumping where I didn't focus on form at all.. can't believe I fell for it with running.

I am lucky I havent tore anything significant yet playing full court bball @ 50 lb overweight and 380 lb squat strength.
