Played b-ball last night. felt ok but my knees have been bothering me for some reason. haven't hit squats since last Thursday and have been lifting light for the last 3 weeks and still my knees are sore. WTF? not feeling it lately. :uhhhfacepalm:

back to the gym tomorrow.......

Tried to follow up the squats with deadlifts but wasn't going to happen so I stopped with warm up set. Felt like a pussy tonight when I was looking at myself in the mirror and wondering if I have it in me to make progress. Some of the cats in here put in work, and with the frequency that would put me in the hospital. sometimes I wonder if I got a crap hand in the recovery department or I am just a nancy. (rhetorical don't answer this)

Played full court b-ball for my cardio work. not a lot of bounce that day, but stayed injury free!

squats 6x135, 4x185, 2x225, MSEM 5x250, failx250 on second set.

Kids stopped me from going to the gym tonight. so I hit the garage nautilus set up. It's not a real squat rack so no pins to save me or gauge depth. So I end up going really deep.

Post some impressions too mang, it helps to capture the feel of the session. I can't believe NOTHING happened for you today. Tell us more. Unless you were just going through the motions today... (wrong wrong)

thanks for the reminder Divad.

Good session. pretty sure I pissed some muscle away while cutting weight. Stepping back up to sets of 8-10 on squats. don't think I could currently hit 8 with 215. for 4 sets. frustrating but part of the game. I remember in the not to distant past 225 feeling light.(not adarq 45 rep light tho :() but wasn't focused on 8-10 reps at the time.
adding back in the targeted hamstring work as I felt that has helped in the past.
Moving well, feeling good, My body wants to be at 165#'s. just need my mind to let me get there.
waiting for spring to get here so I can add sprints to my work outs as I know I need it.

3/29/11 Tuesday BW=170.6

Played full court b-ball tonight. (2.5 hours) Legs were sore from missed PR attempt on Sunday so I wasn't expecting much. Got warmed up and hit some ME jumps and bam hitting 31" RVJ again and again. Progress, I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  keeps me motivated for more pain.

Hoping to drop some weight and maintain strength. had about a week off so I assumed I would be fresh and went for a max effort. hoping for 285ish, didn't happen.(missed 275 on 3 attempts)
I'm down about 10#s in last 2 months but 0 strength gain. :uhhhfacepalm:

Sucks.  feel stronger and leaner for the most part, but got my ass kicked today..................................

Caught food poisoning or a virus last week and it out me down for a week, perfect time for a deload anyway. Played 2 hours of basketball tonight and am feeling 100% better. Ready to hit some PR's in the short-term.
