checked out the fancy new gym tonight. in the gym store (they have a store in the gym) they sell...wait for it...jewelry. this is fucking strange. basically, it's a completely different aesthetic and feel from what i'm used to, and not for the better. still, the court looked super nice. occupied, but nice. and they would give me a cheaper rate than the one quoted online, and i think i could finagle my way out of paying a full penalty if i end up not liking it after 3 months or if the Y opens up near my house and is a better option.

also, i didn't watch any tv tonight. that was not by choice but because my roommate argued with me. but i'm kind of glad he did.

anyway, did get some business done.

BW = ???
SORENESS = none
ACHES/INJURIES = head (very low-grade but there)
FATIGUE = low

- warm up

- bench 155 x 10+3+3+3
easy

- DB row 65 x 10e,10e,10e
easy

- SS1: curl 27.5 x 10e
- SS1: toes to bar x 10
- SS1: tricep kickback 27.5 x 10e
- SS1 info: 2 rounds, 60s between exercises, an extra set of TTB at the end.

- cool down

- stretch while looking at a badonk on the treadmill that would have made raptor cum faster than a new adistar workout video.

I think it's safe to say: BOW BEFORE ME, OR ELSE!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanyway... where the heck do I find these stats?

http://www.adarq.org/forum/stats/

J-DUB is the king of upvotes, 120 from only 73 posts!  :wowthatwasnutswtf:

Also, I can understand why it's not there, but I wouldn't mind seeing the "Least respected" list, just to see who's the biggest troll. Pretty sure I could guess who lol.

see vag? you think you're so great but there's always someone better. that's why i always say, don't compare yourself to others. it's what's in your own heart that counts.

Ratings are by default questionable and meaningless. Look at the people that vote, me and LBSS have voted 500+ messages, adarqui and Lance have voted 400+ and raptor has voted... 1800 !!! So this forum's ratings is mostly raptor's point of view on the posts. I'm just messing with LBSS and so does he.

lol'd in real life.

"Most respected" is a misleading title since the three most common ways of getting your posts liked are to :
1. Post pictures of scantily clad women
2. Point out that hyperdunk is an idiot
3. Tell scooby that his latest program is stupid and that he should squat

chrisbro, you are missing the point, which is that me being third-most-respected gives me godlike powers. very much like satan.

last night:

BW = 177
SORENESS = none
ACHES/INJURIES = head, low back (?)
FATIGUE = moderate

- warm up

- DLRVJ x 8
fast but no power. all around 31.5-32, which sucks. but it's good to feel fast even when my head hurts. not sure where the headache came from.

- MR half tuck x 20,20

- squat 305 x 5,5,5
have video, will post later. last reps on second and third sets were slow but not good-morninged, i managed to keep hips from shooting too badly.

- stretch

stopped there because i'm going to check out one of the new gyms tonight that i'm thinking about joining, and so i'll just do upper and core stuff there. no lower back work, though, gotta save that for 310 x 5,5,5 tomorrow.

lots of ass-2-calve squat sits, rotating my knees slowly/changing angles slightly to loosen up my knee(s).. always feels good

I remember you talking about those sits lately again. I am interested to use them to improve flexibility/mobility/posture, everything regarding full squatting of course.
So the question, how do you do them? do you rise on your toes in the hole to keep perfect upright tosro, OR do heels always touch the ground and you try to push as better posture as you can?

you're not asking me, but here's my answer: i elevate my heels (in shoes if i'm at the gym, or on something else if i'm at home) and just sit down as low as i can. i alternate between going as low as i can with back neutral and pushing down that way, and relaxing all the way into the hole and letting my back relax and my pelvis drop as low as possible.

I agree with what you said Andrew.

It's still interesting to read these studies though.

True but it can become a little distracting reading conflicting studies year after year, imho.

pC

true, not to mention the fact the the studies are usually very small, with a very specific population, e.g., "untrained men ages 18-22" or "elite female collegiate volleyball players." they're interesting but should almost never be seen as prescriptive.

be careful with recommendations that exact. i think you know this, but those are ballparks you should be in, even granting that the source is reliable. stuff like that depends on body comp, age, weight, activity level day-to-day, etc.

Gotta bump in as i love statistics.
You can see the monthly stats at the bottom of this page:
http://www.adarq.org/forum/stats/

So that last chart most probably wasn't counting till June 2010, as the activity e.g. in June 2010 was similar to nowadays, about 1500 posts per month.

YES! I AM THIRD-MOST RESPECTED!

BOW BEFORE ME!!!!!!!!!!!

sweet. question about the third chart: looks like it's at 0 until july 2010. i just realized yesterday (looking at my profile, which i rarely do) that i've been a member since september 2009. is that because you only started tracking in july 2010, or because before that it really was literally just you, me, vag, mike, rip, joe, and maybe raptor and nightfly? i can't remember.
