runninelvis How we do Fartlek speed sessions in Kenya. This day was 2mins fast 1min moderate recovery ×25 if it was easy everyone would do it. Gotta love this sport to get through the hard days & days where I just feel shit..
runninelvis @jakehurysz yes and also race prep phase. Speed endurance is a key we never loose here in Kenya. The altitude is high so its important to keep some type of speed goin even in base phase.
One thing to note is that he got ruled out of his real rookie year early with a foot fracture and spent a whole year with all the benefits of an NBA team, training, getting fed right etc. So even though he hadn't played a game before this season, he's more NBA-ready than most rookies. Similar thing happened with Blake Griffin and Embiid.
But yeah, he's a hell of a player - I didn't think he was this athletic. Great passer as well. Technically Australian, so our 2020 Olympic team looks good:
PG: Simmons
SG: Mills
SF: Ingles (possibly a bit old by 2020 but has an old man's game)
PF: Maker
C: Baynes
All starting or solid rotational players in the NBA. Dellavedova and Exum on the bench as well.
no, kyrie is already vegan, i actually don't like it tbh..... https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/248064/NBA-Players-Increasingly-Switching-To-Plant-Based-Diet

Australia has made the World Cup!!!
Junior participation rates for soccer are fairly strong in Australia but honestly it's literally behind rugby league, AFL, and cricket in terms of popularity. Ivory Coast, Italy and the Netherlands all missing out is a huge shock as Ivory Coast are an African heavyweight and Italy and the Netherlands have traditionally always been dominant forces in world soccer.
Not sure who else.. but I love the underdogs so, on a match by match basis, I usually go for all of the underdogs, except when it comes to France & the US (the US is pretty much always an underdog tho
)I wish kyrie would start to train for explosiveness over summer.... that plus vegan diet.... he would be like a russell westbrook with much more finesse... would be even more unstoppable....
actually steph is slowly becoming a russell with finesse, he seem to have gotten faster/strong than before
brother here! spent the last several days in the mountains.
november 13
- hike x 6 hours
not sure of distance. elevation gain was at least 1100m/3600' and topped out above 3300m/11,000'. it was steep.
november 14
- hike x 6 hours
partway across a glacier and back and then back down. distance about 2km longer than day one but the glacier part was sloooow going. combo of dicey weather and difficult visibility on the glacier meant we cut the trek off a night early.
november 15
- walking up and down hills and stairs x a lot
soleus quite sore. calves and quads also.
what a rad trip. i walked on a glacier at 11,000 feet above sea level. that's a lifetime first.
