Fun fact:

Dane Bird Smith won a national U/20 title for QLD in the 4x400m as a 48 second runner.

He's also dropped a cheeky 3.57 in the 1500m as a youngster

And last but not least.... he can walk the 5km in 18 minutes. Faster than most runners can run the 5km, he could beat them without even running.... The bird can fly but chooses to walk.

My ankles still no good. I didn't train at all this week and I won't be able to play tomorrow either. 2018 has been a shit year so far.

damn :/

was excited after seeing that jersey photo.

what's up with your wrist too? is this a lifting/benching injury?

I injured my wrist in the same game as my ankle. The ankle is worse than the wrist. I'll be watching the trial game from the sidelines tomorrow.

I went to the gym today expecting to do upper body but my left wrist is also fucked. It's a struggle to even open a bottle so I was feeling pain just benching 60kg (my max is 127.5). FUCK ME! I tried to do chin ups and had the same pain. Tried pull ups and same pain. I can't wait until my ankle is better. The Warriors (rugby league club) have offered to sponsor me as well this season so once I finally get over these injuries i'm going to play with them as well. I fkn hate living in Adelaide sport-wise. If if wasn't for my secure, reasonably paid job I'd be moving interstate!!!

Long Jump-
Henry Frayne has set a new Commonwealth Games record and personal best of 8.34m eclipsing his personal mark from 2012 by 7cm. Frayne leaps past two great names of Australian long jumping, Olympic silver medallist Gary Honey and 1998 Commonealth winner Peter Burge, to become the 4th best Australian ever.
