Nevermind...

Yes but say you're very strong grip-wise and apply that strength to a slippery ball. The result of that will be the ball will fling out of your hand because the more power you apply to it, the more it has a chance to fly out. So you need to actually apply less strength and go up gingerly with a slippery ball.

I probably won't get approval, but it's not a matter of strength but a matter of skin quality/friction. If it was a matter of strength, then you would have to be so weak that you wouldn't be able to hold a cola bottle in your hand.

I mean, think about it - you just hold the ball for less than a second when you dunk. And yes, there is acceleration involved there which increases the ball's weight, but that is not important. The important thing is how much grip does the ball have, and what kind of skin you have.

I'm still jumping better with a longer last step... I guess it just developed over time. So does Adarqui's boy Eddie if I remember right.

Yeah I guess so.

Check this skinny guy out: <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMx6eUQEAAY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMx6eUQEAAY</a>

Well I think we're actually both right. You can't really imagine me squatting or deadlifting heavy by the way I look just as much as you can hardly imagine a "big" guy (even muscular with a low bodyfat) as going up off one leg. You'd expect him to be better off two (that's not always the case though, but there are much more chances a big guy gets up better off two feet than off one).

Well that's actually good that it bothers you because, like me, I think you will agree that AC was giving up good advice. I mean the guy wasn't talking silly stuff and he was a pretty nice guy. The photoshopping blew the thing up.

So when you combine these two things in an antithesis... you can't help but feel bad for the whole situation.

Yeah that's the first thing I saw... back neutral "enough"... butt not very much sticked out. I don't know.

And yeah my stride frequency is very high so one explanation might be good hamstring development. I have no idea if it has any bearing on that though... from what I'm aware of, the hamstrings in a sprint, besides helping into hip extension (ideally) - they prevent knee hyperextension when the leg is swung forward so I have no idea if that's a factor in the stride frequency deal.
