Well it's squat + assistance (usually 2 supersets of 2x5) two times per week
and
Bench + assistance two times per week

The third day is an explosive and whatever day.

So it's:

lowerbody1
upperbody1
explosive (clean/jumpsquat and some back work)
rest
lowerbody2
upperbody2
rest

Yes but 3x8 and 3x5 with the same weight?

So if I do 3x8 on Sunday with 90 kg, then I should do 3x5 on Thursday with the same 90?

That song is great. Heard it first in a VC mix.

And adarqui looks a bit like Mike Miller.

Strength, Power, Reactivity, & Speed Discussion / 3x8 or 3x5?
« on: October 30, 2010, 03:47:15 am »
That's the question. Is 3x8 good for my current goals which are hypetrophy and some strength or is 3x5 a high enough of a volume to generate hypertrophy with proper food while also creating more strength since heavier weights are used?

I tend to focus better on 3x5 because the sets are shorter so I don't lose my focus in the sets, but I don't know about the total amount of volume. 15 reps seems so little.

What do you think?

Why can't you guys use a plastic bottle full of water or a spray tube?

Why do you have to "buy" everything. I guess all you western guys are spoiled with money.

Exactly. Plus that nobody knows you're going to dunk. You might take a layup, pull up for the jumper, turnover the ball, get fouled etc.

In a dunk contest you always expect a dunk, so it's not that spectacular.

Thanks a lot, I'm a genius! :ninja:

Nope... dunk contest dunkers practice dunking all time in a dunk contest/freeway to the rim environment. In game dunkers and basketball players do this as well but don't have the time/rest/resources to only do this so they also practice basketball skill and dunk in games, which is different.

"COOKIES...!" *in low, film voice*

Yeah TFB is with dedicated dunkers... with "dunk contest" dunks... Ballislife is with NBA prospects etc, true basketball players that do more than dunk, and still do great in game dunks and stuff like that.

Yeah that's true, the muscles become insulin-resistant after a while, so it's all fat depositing...

But I really have no ideas of where to take calories into from... maybe a supplement of carbs+protein instead of just protein? And then instead get out of sugar intake (unless immediately after training) and eat vegetables and stuff?

I can't drink milk, my stomach will be upset.

Fuck me...

But then again, he power cleaned a lot and used to front squat 400 from what I remember.
