BW 181 today.

Warmed up to a 425x1 deadlift. 2 x3 backoff at 365. 1x5 at 315.

Rack pulls from the knee: 455lbs 3x3. These...wow. Glute and low back feeling it. First time trying these and man, they're tough. Its amazing how the momentum you have during a full ROM deadlift helps.

Hang cleans: 3x3 at 135lbs. Form getting better IMO.

BSS: 2x8 each at 135lbs.

Ham curl and glute kick super sets. 2 sets at 145lbs and 100lbs 12 reps each.

Seared calf raises: 3x12 at 150lbs.

Cut back on some core work...only did half of my normal routine.

Notes: wondering how much strength I'll lose during this block over the next few weeks. Im hoping that by keeping a top single and a few backoffs it wont be too bad. Also...need to FS and do hip thrusts next week. :/

Woke up....ate breakfast....weighed myself (which i usually do pre mean)...

179.9lbs. WTF. Im thinking i mayyy not have ate enough yesterday lol!

Anyway, shot around this morning for an hour. Nothing strenous just mechanic and muscle memory work. Wasnt awake enough to jump lol! Tossed in a few light dunks.

Lifted chest/tricep and core this afternoon. Did a larger volumeof plyos and jumps throughout since I didnt do anything yesterday. Ended the workout with some 3x3 hang cleans and box jump super sets. Felt very bouncy. :)

Did back, biceps, core and light shoulder work (i never really go heavy on shoulders lol) yesterday. Was supposed to toss in some shock and plyo jumps in between sets but ws super pressed for time. Guess it wont be so bad...Im off this week on my schedule since I couldn't squat Monday. Everythings been pushed back. Yesterday was supposed to be rest...

I'll jump today on the court and do chest/tri/core and mix in some plyo work.

Had the gfs lil girl come down with a rash yesterday so spent the day at the er isntead of the gym lol! So...we start peaking today.

BW: 182lbs.
Energy: ehhh. 6/10

Squats....worked my way up to a 405 single. 5 back off singles at 365. Trying to keep my limit strength close to max.

Banded jump squats: 135lbs + bands(120lbs) 4x5; 185lbs +bands x5.

Supra max quarter squats (for speed): 405lbs +bands- 3x5. Probably a littleto easy but didnt want to jump straight to 455 or 495 + bands. Flying up on reversal.

Some core work: weighted decline and regular situps, russian twists with med ball, weighted leg raises, some oblique work, couple planks.

Had to cut it off early for some stuff. Will go back later for heavy calf raises and stepups along with some shooting and more core work.

Laterrrrr: did some step ups...heavy calf raises. 3x8 and 3x12. Hooped...1 4v4 half court...1 5v5 full. 4v4 I couldnt be guarded...forst step was explosive quick. Sweet. Second game (5v5) they decided to just keep fouling the fuck out of me...real bitch shit. Wasnt happy. Tried to tear the rim off over a guy...missed. Bah.

Tossed a few lobs after to ease my anger lol! Getting up on minimal effort. One ME...easy tomahawk off the glass coming right to left. Happy now.  :)

Messed around today while the girl did legs.

power cleans at 135lbs. just working form. 5x3. pressed the last one of each set for fun.

whole bunch of jumps and plyos. weighted box jumps. depth jumps. weighted jumping step up things. pogos. some hurdles. buncha core.

side note....182lbs but looked awesome (IMO). Took a rare selfie for future body comp analysis :)

Hooped a little this morning. About an hour of games, I didnt go to hard,  just worked up a sweat and tossed in some dunks after.

Lifted around 7pm, BW 183lbs. Could tell i was ready to lift today.

Deadlift:

top single.... 425 x1.  :personal-record:
365 7x3. So much difference for me lifting later vs before noon. The 425 felt like a 405. Almost easy. Work sets felt good too.

Circuits of core work, BSS (135lbs 3x8 each leg), seated calf raise (135lbs x12, x12, x15), seated ham curls (145lbs 3x12) and glute kick back machine (100lbs 3x12 each leg). Did 3 36" box jumps and a set of core work between each set of exercises....lotta core work and jumps lol!

Happy to get this done! I may deload next week or jump straight into explosive stuff and plyos...see how I feel Monday. Thinking of 2-3 weeks then another 6 weeks of strength block to try and get 425/455.

Thanks guys! I shall get on that :)

Did back and biceps yesterday and some plyos. 48-50" standing box jumps and some 3 step 54" ones. Handful of each trying to keep movement efficiency up. Its impossible to go full speed on 3 step approaches in running shoes....smh. lol
