goal: sub6 pace (~5:56), 36:5X 10k.. given my track workouts & tempo this week, i'm 100% good for that.. but, who knows.

weather should be amazing.. cold as fu*k initially (~55F) but, great for running.

also, felt like Joe today .. hands were FROZEN after my walk. lol. thought, hm i shoulda worn "gloves"..  :ninja: :ibrunning:

feel less beat up than yesterday, which is great, but still feeling some tweaks in my knees on occasion (lateral quad tendons/insertions).

my left hamstring tendon was bugging before my walk, then disappeared after my walk in that thick grass.

that thick grass walk made my legs feel really good.. it wasn't just thick grass but also some tall weeds etc, so I had to step over lots of stuff.. think it was a really nice combo.

really hoping my knees don't feel achy tomorrow .. just hoping this shit disappears. if it doesn't, need to take both sunday & monday off (sunday I have planned off, but monday will have to happen as well, and if still achy, tues & potentially wed ..)

i'm optimistic my legs will feel alot better tomorrow .. since they've been improving all day.

Man, watching this video I'm just like "these guys are really good at running." Like in the way that Federer is good at tennis. Not just winning games/winning races, but just making the act itself look amazing.

yup, very well said. agree 100%.

at that level, their legs look like propeller blades. to get them kind of ROM/cadence, they have to be moving incredibly fast. it's just beautiful to watch, and eventually try to emulate. hah.

but ya, looks incredible to me.. very mesmerizing to me, I can just get lost in the form. beautiful.

180307 Jump with Dead bird on the side, and fast is a relative term

My b ball rolled over some a dead bird on the side... I did no dare to shoot with the ball any more.. so I just jump.. rest 1 min and Jump.... for that 30 min.
took a video... just to see... Nothing spectacular

afterward, i look at it on my phone and i was surprise to see i was quite smooth and fast.

The next day, I load it up on to utube and watch it on my computer... and... i feel it is slow again..
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxDoe60Ezvo" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxDoe60Ezvo</a>

if watching yourself on video is going to mess with your head, maybe stop taking video for a while? and just attack & get up?

not sure how you can go from looking smooth/fast on one day, to slow the next, in the same clips.

when your mental game stagnates, there's a good chance performance will as well. if it digresses, performance will probably digress as well. if it improves, performance will probably improve.

it's ok to have down periods but, need to identify them. also need to stop caring about whether you look smooth and fast, or not .. i seriously don't get it. I mean, are you auditioning for a role in a movie where someone has to simply "look" like they jump good, or do you want to jump good? who cares what you think you look like in your runup/jump etc, just train consistently, eat good, get quality sleep, and attack. You are often incorrect about how you look in these clips ... so i just don't get why you aren't working on the mental side of things, and trying your hardest not to overanalyze/incorrectly analyze everything.

get rid of the camera for a while and just go hard.

and in that clip, your jump looks great. eh.

peace
