what notes? what project ?

its not rly a paper, its a pdf file, i think it's called 'transfer of training' by Bondarchuk

and it's not the book :D, it's just a 10pg file

i have a paper at home by Bondarchuk that correlates jump (LJ, TJ and HJ) performance with half squat, 30m accel, OHB shot and a couple more tests...the athlete's level is quite high aswell, i think they range from 6.80 to 8m in LJ, forgot about HJ.

the biggest correlations (for HJ and LJ) were with half squat (which is prolly a quarter squat for them, femur at 45 degrees, but that's just a thought), and 30m dash (i think downstart).

The values range from 0.7 to 0.9 ?? if i remember exactly...depending on the gender and performance (like 6.80-7m would have a 0.73 correlation, 7m - 7.20m would have a 0.8 one and so on....these are just examples so dont take them as granted)

also, regarding the OHB throw, pfaff was saying that when he had the bruny surin/obba thomson and and donovan bailey training together the OHB was the best correlator with their 100m...same for women when he was coaching at LSU

however....corelation doesnt mean he is fast because of OHB or because of squatting, could be the other way around, u never know

not questioning it, but what's the pathway u think high rep 'strength' work increases ur max str? or what are u after with 400-800 lunges/session? cant even think at increasing work capacity through that

the runs that u do are aerobic ? not lactic right?

so ur setup is smth like:

work capacity : runs mixed with sprints + bw strength-endurance stuff (which i assume would be lactic)
max strength stuff (u like singles)
submax rebounding plyo stuff
max jumps (dunks)

what i dont get is how u mix them in day 1/day 2 etc

dunno if it looks gay or not, but ive seen changes in running form just from the drills done properly + drills taken into a run + 'technical runs'.....combine that with actual muscle strenghtening/preparation for your event and you will get some nice form

thats some crazy volume i dont know or even heard of anyone that can handle that

Do you think after a pr by stim compared to a pr without stim you can constantly replicate the 'stim pr' again without stim and without additional training(such as becoming better at bounds will give u an equal performsnce cuz u ovefloaded the movement and u got better, so if u were to stim again, ud get an even bettef pr)? I mean, the 'stim pr' will stay there and u will be able to replicate it when youre rested??

ya you can keep PR's using stim.. you just have to try and maintain the PR.. if you can create PR level jumping / sprinting, then subsequent sessions should be aimed at improving the consistency of achieving that results OR just PR'n again.. by PR'n, your body is showing that it can handle that new performance level, which adds in itself a new level of intensity to each skill session, so the trick is to keep it within range:

- using normal stim protocols to obtain more consistent sprints /jumps near or at that pr
- using more intense stim protocols to try and obtain a new PR

by using stim-like methods, the body is firing optimally come skill-session time.. so these skill sessions that are 'enhanced' with stim become a MORE POWERFUL stimulus than just training with fatigue...

if you jump 40" off a run.. then you stim a 41", you have taught your body how to create 41" and introduced a more intense skill training session because of the new 1" gain in RVJ.. so the trick here would be to try and achieve 40-41" MORE OFTEN, more consistently.. so you might not PR right off the bat again with stim, but your overall session quality should be better.. stack a few of these onto each other and you get new PR's.

exactly my point..you have to stick with that new performance and let your body get accustomed to it, without starting a new cycle, loading, or deloading...just make sure your body gets used to jumping 41' any day of the week (or as close as possible)...........ill upload a video of pfaff tonight, he saying the exact same thing

great job, really looking forward to seeing this

when doing tuck jumps what do you focus on?: minimal gct or maximal jump every time?
