Mucked around and had a few RVJ and SVJ attempts as well. No idea on the height as I have nothing tangible to measure it against.

How did the body feel jump wise?

Felt good no achilles pain but usually it flares up post-exercise or the next day, but it was actually okay today.

Strong AF at the moment mate!

Good call on the farmers walks. I've been meaning to start doing them again (and also suitcase carries) to work on my core. I never did figure out how to make my obliques grow.

I'm enjoying them so far albeit only done 2 sessions with them. They feel functional and a nice way to end a workout.

I used to do them a lot at my old gym but I had to do a bit of weird route to get enough meters in. One time someone said: "The dumbbell rack is over there mate if you're looking for it".  :derp:

LOL! That would have been awkward. I always have my headphones in at the gym so I haven't had any comments like that.

Enjoy the lockdown. We're just coming out of 12 weeks of pretty harsh lockdown here. We got to zero new cases per day but the toll on businesses and people's mental health has been huge. Still being drip fed our basic rights too.

What's the Victorian's public opinion of Daniel Andrews?

It's really odd here right now. Some people love him, most people I know are in the middle. Some hate him. Me? I think he's trash, lives in an ivory tower and has no idea what the average person goes through to earn a living and provide for their family. He has an arts degree and has only every worked in the parliamentary system. He also got power hungry and refused to listen to any advice during the lockdown that didn't come from within his own party. I didn't have a huge problem with the lockdown that we've been through as it had minimal effect on me personally but I imagine you'd get a very different answer from someone who lost their job or their business. The way the case numbers were going wasn't great but what is the greater sacrifice? He did fuck up with the hotel quarantine debacle though and has been lying to us ever since. So on that basis I wish him a very slow death as there are 800+ people dead and he refuses to take any kind of responsibility. I am very concerned about our economic recovery now and the knock on effect on people's mental health for years to come. I see the suicide rates sky rocketing in the next couple of years as the financial support is turned off.

Monday

Had the appointment with the Surgeon today. I was in there for less than 5 minutes. He bought up the MRI on his screen and confirmed that it was achilles tendinopathy and he could do surgery to treat it. Since I've had private health insurance for only a month I'll have to wait 11 months to get it done. I also had the MRI sent to my GP so I'll make an appointment for next week and try plan b, which is to get a printed copy and try and get hooked up through a friend that works in the public health system. My achilles was very sore today after playing basketball yesterday but it pulled up better than the last time I played basketball a few weeks ago.
