I wonder what was his squat and half squat. I think it was more of a back problem than leg strength at that point...  same question for Sotomayor :D

yeah...and they'd be better off just using depth jumps and depth drops

Speaking of which one of the phases I've seen did have altitude drops. . .from a regular bench. . . with a 45lb plate in your hands. . .at the end of your workout.

I'm volunteering and hoping to get an internship there next year so hopefully I'll be able to learn some of the rational behind this stuff and try to convince them otherwise.

Now why in the world would someone do that? Maybe if you don't have a higher box or something, but still

There are not many sports that require heavy eccentric contractions more than skilled concentric contractions so excessive eccentric work would thus be contraindicated.

Isn't "NO explode" an antagonist of "YES explode"? If so, then you should aim for YES explode since that's better for jumping.

Big calves will pull you down because they move the center of gravity lower. You need a big chest so your center of gravity is higher and the leverage increases. Big gunz ownz

Check this out: :ibjumping:

He sure is more hip dominant though.

What I like about this is that they didn't really "let him" get his baskets, he really put work on that. You can clearly see he has the skill.

makes some nice passes, too.

He could dunk on other presidents. That would be cool. But Putin would put him down in Judo. He ain't a president though.

Strong chest. Was that built with biceps curls?

You're right. Inverse correspondence.

you must have the highest box jump ever!

Are you kidding me? I do depth jumps, so that's like a negative box jump.
