Soreness-
Neck and shoulders. As already discussed I had a couple of heavy nights on Wednesday and during the day on Thursday so I ended up sleeping on the floor and used to many pillows and somehow managed to twist/aggravate my left neck and traps.

Friday-
Didn't train due to soreness.

Saturday-

Track-
5x100m with walkback recovery increasing the speed on each one. I only timed the last 2x100m, which were 12.6 on the 4th and 12.1 for the 5th (rested an extra 60 seconds on top of the walk back for the 5th set).

Squat-
60x6
100x3
105x3x3
80x8

Pull Ups-
8x3

Exercise Bike-
150 calories

Treadmill-
150 calories including jogging for 2:30 minutes at 15.8 km/h.

Thanks adarqui!

Yeah I knew you didn't mean it like that. Even though I'm still struggling with alcohol I have become wiser around trigger points. E.g. I avoid purchasing cartons of beer because I know I'll be tempted to drink it all within a day or two. I actually don't have an issue with wine or spirits mainly because I literally don't drink them. I don't drink wine because I hate the taste of it and with spirits I feel like I can't control myself very well when I drink. When I say can't control I mean the effect it has on my body. When I drink beers I can feel my body going through the stages of intoxication. With spirits I'll go from feeling normal to being passed out 30-60 minutes later so I never get to enjoy the buzz. It's different with pre-mix spirits but I don't like Coke /sweetness so the last time I've drunk spirits to get drunk was actually back in 2011. The one and only time I got drunk off wine was back in 2005 as a 15 year old and I ended up just vomitting in the middle of the night and woke up feeling awful, which has put me off drinking wine ever since.

Thanks for the advice LBSS. It's funny when people mention drugs most people think of meth, coke or heroin etc. If alcohol wasn't a multi-billion dollar industry with a large amount of social acceptance it's hard to see how it would be legal. You can literally die from drinking too much at one time and it's also one of the only drugs that you can die from not drinking it (severe alcoholics). Yet instead it's a widely accepted product and you can't even watch a game of sport without being flooded with alcohol advertisements or the billboards of alcohol sponsors.

Thanks seifullaah73!

I deleted my post because I felt embarrassed talking about it. That's a funny story about rugby but yeah I'll work my best and reform myself.

On Monday I went to work and got called in by the Director of the Department and told that I'd be taking on some additional responsibilities as they thought I had capacity to and they were planning on a restructure etc. Yesterday I went to work and they told me they no longer had funding for my position but they wanted me to continue on with my current role AND do all the additional responsibilities allocated to me on Monday for $10,000 per year less, AND they are getting rid of another manager (the responsibilities they've allocated to me). Needless to say I've been completely fkn shafted. The other manager finishes on the 7th January and that's when they want me to take over. My current contract finishes in February so I've basically got 2 months to find another job otherwise I'll be doing more work for 10k less.

I didn't go to work today I just called in sick and have spent the whole day drinking beer and applying for other jobs. It's pretty fkn disappointing especially when just a couple of weeks ago I was being told that "we're working on making your job permanent and you're doing a perfect job" etc. They blamed the budget cuts on the Executives. I don't even know what to believe I just know they're fucking me.

Track-

5x100m with walk back recovery raising the pace on each 100

1x100m- 13.6
1x100m- 12.9
1x100m-12.6
1x100m- 12.4

No hamstring soreness just a bit of achilles tightness, particularly on the left achilles.

Any major high schools around your area or Little Athletics Clubs? You may be surprised and find a track closer than 25 minutes away.

Apparently there are only two in the entire state? But the article is from 2007 and they were talking about building one in Rockingham which is far away from the city. Pretty shocking. Seems most clubs just run on grass. 25 minute drive every 10 days might be okay? but right now im just embarrassed by lack of athleticism to be seen at a proper track lol so i need to address that first anyway. What do you recommend, is it worth trying to join a club or would i just be a bother at this point? I don't just feel slow i look slow. In the past when i felt fast i probably still was actually slow to look at but now it's much worse.

I wouldn't join a club I would just use the grass tracks. All you need is a decent grass track with all the linings. Running on grass is also easier on the joints.

I usually don't listen to much 'Aussie rap' but came across this when I was walking on the treadmill last week and it's a nice track to jog to.

i don't actually like the "hook" much, but the yup/nope throughout is incredibly slick.
