I watched this fight and the end was disgusting. That's all she wrote. I hope something similar (but worse) happens to Mayweather during his career.

did not sleep for about 40 hours straight because of somethings that came up but somehow managed to squat 215 lbs for 2x6, DL 215 for 1x5, and Bench 115 3x8. All of which are  :personal-record: .

That goes beyond my understanding. My body would be filled with lightning strokes through my head if I were to do that.

had the craziest dream ever.. i was literally in the dream world for days.. comet hits earth, destroys tons of crap, video taped everything, go searching for my mom through disaster zones, come back, all family is there, drive up the coast bla bla bla, it went on forever.. was really cool tho.

Maybe you're on to something (Elenin)?

Yeah but it feels like "too much" of an overload. Not sure if it's just technique (maybe my body position is not that great when I double arm swing) or just lack of strength.

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Re: Sucking at half squats?
« on: September 22, 2011, 01:17:26 am »
That might be but I actually prefer the "full" squat now than the half squat. The difference is not at all big by any means in favor of the half squat and when I half squat it always feels so heavy that I think "how was I ever been able to squat this weight full?!"

So... any experience with this kind of a thing? :ibsquatting:

I'd hate to repeat "stop being an emo" at each and every of my posts! :ninja:

Well first off, according to a couple walking by my mom, I'm all muscle and FIT. Go figure.

Secondly, I don't know about the two leg bounds but like in my two leg jumps I feel I'm putting out VERY little power vs. what I'm capable (or I should be capable) of developing. Is like when I jump I transform myself into a guy with a max squat of 80 kg.

And thirdly, it just comes naturally for me to "move" like that in the one-leg bound. Just like in my sprint, I go short and fast for some reason. I would REALLY REALLY love to use a double arm swing in my jumps and bounds, I guess I need to go submaximally for a while to develop a double arm swing jump, although it feels 100% unnatural and "overloady".

ADARQ & LanceSTS - Q&A / Sucking at half squats?
« on: September 20, 2011, 06:43:21 pm »
I remember the earlier discussions with Steven Miller about him and his half squats and I was thinking about my half squat and why does it suck so much.

And now looking at my heaviest 1RM (145 kg) full squat I can see that the sticking point occured actually in this particular position of the half squat (if you look, it happens in maybe the most jump specific position in the squat in terms of angles).

I was wondering if in your experience met anything similar in somebody - being good at full squats but bad at two footed jumps and half squats. And if so, how to "correct" (assuming everybody should pretty much have a bigger (sometimes considerably) half squat than full squat) this. Is it just a matter of half squatting and adapting or is it more?

Thanks.
