man alestor, don't ever let anyone tell you you have a low pain tolerance. but also listen to vag and be patient in the comeback.

lol coges that is NOT winter. i live in what's technically "the south" in the US* and i'd call 12-14 just about ideal for picking apples on a pleasantly crisp fall day, or a fast marathon. no wonder australia doesn't produce long-distance runners, it's way too hot!

i think eric lives in upstate new york -- he gets probably the realest winter of anyone on here. two meters of snow kind of winter.

*i.e. below the mason-dixon line.

Bad news guys. i went to the top ankle ortho in Chicago and he told me that my two deep deltoid ligaments are totally torn and my posterior tibial tendon is degenerating. I will be getting surgery in two weeks and the recovery will take a year...

^^^Thanks, so i did!
Holiday-wise, everything was awesome.
Training-wise, total off. No training at all, no stretching at all, no nutrition watching at all, nothing. No disaster either, around the same weight, just a tad fatter.
Totally worth it. Back on track tomorrow, season plan soon.
:lololol:

roll tide.

migraines are awful, my condolences to your wife. i got an Rx this year for a migraine-specific drug that actually seems to work: the last time i had an aura i popped one and no migraine materialized. small sample size, but hey, i'm glad to have them. worth talking to a doc if she hasn't already.

belated welcome back man. where were you? got a new goal or still trying to get faster?
