Holiday-wise, everything was awesome.
Training-wise, total off. No training at all, no stretching at all, no nutrition watching at all, nothing. No disaster either, around the same weight, just a tad fatter.
Totally worth it. Back on track tomorrow, season plan soon.

migraines are awful, my condolences to your wife. i got an Rx this year for a migraine-specific drug that actually seems to work: the last time i had an aura i popped one and no migraine materialized. small sample size, but hey, i'm glad to have them. worth talking to a doc if she hasn't already.

got back late last night. awesome vacation, so relaxing. beautiful weather for the most part, warm water, lots of sleep.

in terms of exercise, i played tennis every day at the beach except one, when it rained all morning. did some random jumps here and there. swam every day. back on the horse tonight, gonna take it easy. need to set up a program for the next 6 weeks or so, try to peak again in late sep/early oct.

good call on the med ball stuff. overhead slams are good, too: bring the ball up overhead and throw it against the ground as hard as you can. depending on the ball, be careful it doesn't hit you in the face on the way up!
