I'm so happy Neymar isn't getting the calls. Refs really treating him proper. He's such a phony with these flops, really hurts the sport.

On the other hand, Belgium's attack is absolutely incredible. They are the most creative team i've seen so far, for sure. Maybe France #2. But Belgium's passing on attack is just superb.

Coges, the adarq.org relationship expert.. :D :ninja: but srs I agree w/ his posts.

Also, unrelated, but not sure I like the pause squats where you pause, then go down and back up. i dno just be careful with that. people usually pause at the bottom then go right up. Don't see what you're doing very often: people pausing, then dropping lower after the pause to go back up. I personally would pause at some depth, then go right back up, no trying to trigger stretch reflex to give you a boost out of the hole. Just my 2 cents on it tho.

Progress Journals & Experimental Routines / Re: Party's Over!

I been struggling with motivation this year. I started a new job a couple of weeks ago, which has been stressful. Nothing has really changed much still eating fast food every day and drinking too much. I didn't even bother going to training tonight coz I was a pussy and thought it was too cold...just in a real rut atm.

tbh, that's why i love running. I can just step right outside and go get a quick run in. doesn't take much motivation, setup, etc. not saying you should run, but getting in a little each day even if it's just 15-30 minutes is a good rut buster.. could just be a quick warmup and some light strides/sprints, or a light jog etc.

you'll get out of the rut eventually.. why not be in better shape when you do? :ninja: :ibrunning: :ibsquatting:

last night was tired to the point of feeling vaguely sick. no run. this has been a rough week.

- run 8.06 km in 41:20

- stretch

at least it's not quite as hot as it's been (low 30s/high 80s instead of high 30s/~100).

today marks six months since my brother died.

damn :/ even just through the "internet", it's rough thinking about when it happened, how we found out about it here, seeing the FB posts etc.

rest in peace, jack.

rip.

400m Sprinting or Shorter / Re: The Sprinting News Thread

Yeah Lyle's is doing awesome. Norman is killing the 400 but pure speed Lyle's is a fraction faster. It's great to see the rising talent.

ya. i don't think anyone is going to touch Noah in 200m in the future.. and if he can become 100/200, man o man, serious stuff. Apparently he's "better than Bolt" at this point (age-wise), but doesn't mean a whole lot given maturity etc, plus Bolt had to learn how to "start".

Noah just gives off next-level vibes to me.. something about him, beyond just his numbers, that makes me think he will be phenomenal for his whole career. Absolutely love his attitude as well.. Just seems to be having so much fun out there, always a huge smile on his face. And he's a moma's boy... lol.

something very refreshing about him.

FRANCE!! 2-0, 90th minute.

also, i can't recall seeing someone cry so hard during a match/sport event.. that uruguay player was crying pretty hard, during the game. damn... brutal.

btw, don't be afraid to bump when you have more races, that's the idea of this thread. I usually add a bunch, do them, then bump when I add a bunch more. ;f

currently finding more potential races.. but XC races!!! grass/dirt etc. I feel like I need to do more XC. I think it agrees with me, especially since I prefer running on such uneven/soft/"hilly" terrain when I train. Need to "take my talents to XC" ;d

I dont have an elaborate list or plan like you folks but I just found this thread and would like to add that I plan on doing the Lunar Rendezvous (dubbed the Space Force run on IRC) https://runningalliancesport.org/lunar-rendezvous/

will be running in more shortly after so will update with schedule and results!

very excited for your space force audition. I feel like you were born to be a space force cadet :D

btw i don't have a plan either (for the most part). i just find races & race. lool. it's fun ;d

by the end of 2018 I should have like 40 races in 1 year, hopefully. I have 20 total right now: https://www.athlinks.com/athletes/245984762/results

One thing I know, from looking at people who have made the most improvement, they tend to have the most races. Racing alot gets you in really great shape by itself, because you can take advantage of that competitive spirit and push your limits/fitness more effectively.

I want to be in absolutely insane shape come 2019 .. One of my main goals for then is to win back2back half marathons, which happen on Saturday & Sunday. They are two fast/popular half marathons that i'm pretty sure no one has ever even thought of "doubling". I'd love to win both. :D Stuff like that motivates me more than just winning a race itself.. the idea of being able to pull something like that off, really amps me up. Makes it feel more like a "mission impossible operation" than just preparing for a race, which I like. hah. :ibrunning: :ninja:
