made me lol:

right. guys running sub5 for 26.2 miles haven't maximized their potential. lmfao.

https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2018/07/why-are-obstacle-course-races-so-popular/565130/

I want to do an OCR next year, but just to try and beat everyone. While I respect people who train hard for OCR's, they don't personally appeal to me, lots of useless stuff. The badmouthing of marathons is funny.. I don't know alot about OCR, but I don't know of any that approach 3 hours in duration etc.

Triathlons/ironman triathlon/marathons etc are fucking nuts & extremely difficult, that's a damn fact. heh.

more Cabada deep brain insight.

Quote
The grind is brutal and ugly at times. Especially when you start having expectations of getting a personal best, then imagine the people who are trying to win races and even make 🇺🇸 teams. We all judge ourselves off our best feeling, our best performances, as if that is how we are suppose to feel/perform every time. Day to day throughout the year I struggle most/more days than the days I actually feel good. I am not ambitious everyday, I am vulnerable and somedays I wake up with a ton of negative thoughts weighing me down. I feel paralyzed at times and I have a huge battle in my mind before even getting out of bed. I eventually get it done, but the moral of the story is, you are gonna have to overcome your self doubt. You are going to have to fight and put in that work. There is no way around it. If you are not willing to do that, don’t complain when you don’t reach your goals. Hang in there, do the best you can day to day. Trust me, you are not alone.

can't believe raps gave up DeRozan for Kawhi..

such a weird trade. DeRozan seemed like a TOR-lifer, and I mean he definitely seemed worthy of it. He always showed up in the playoffs for raps as well.

Kawhi will be out of there after next year.. wtf?

awful trade.

This is definitely the weirdest move I've seen anyone make. Just did not make sense.

yup. I was "dumbfounded".. :f

Quote
I do think that once he gets over the initial shock, DeRozan should be happy to play under Pop. As someone who regularly struggles on the big stage this could be a good move for him. The downside is that he's now in the West with Lebron haha

right but that's the thing... no more LEBRON in the East.. and they trade him now? what? they have a chance to finally get out of the playoffs in the East (though philly is strong) and onto the NBA finals, and they trade him now? wtf? and the trade doesn't actually make their team better, nor does it set them up for the future (afaics). just an absolute garbage move IMHO.

this is a great reason why I support athletes, not teams and the team owners/management :D

1904 marathon news:

Did you know

It was quickly discovered that USA's Fred Lorz, who crossed the line first at the 1904 Olympics, had cheated by flagging down a car and riding 11 miles as a passenger. He was disqualified and the victory was awarded to his compatriot Thomas Hicks, who (narrowly) survived the rigours of a race run in temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius thanks to a combination of brandy and strychnine.

wtf. lmao.

5k tonight, most likely fast: 16:XX top spot

planned on getting a 30min run in early this morning. woke up at 7:30, felt tired, went back to sleep at 8, woke up at 9:45. nice.

:D

i figure that was the better decision.

feel great right now hah.

edit: also, I dreamed I was at one of my fav courts (vincent torres park, the outdoor one with the roof), and I hit every shot. didn't miss. maybe tonight will be a serious performance? :D :ibrunning: :trolldance:
