i thought you forgot to close the strike through bbcode, ehe.

Hahaha I wish that was the case

i've had some weird knee stuff related to the calf, and perhaps popliteus also. i think the "sensations" caused by the pontential popliteus issues are the weirdest for me.

hope it's nothing ;/

Yeah I’m getting weird sensations at the top of calf, bottom of hamstring and then at the back of the knee. All at different times. Knee feels a little unstable too sometimes.

I’m going to back off completely on the squats and oly lifting for now, will still deadlift once this settles and gradually work my way back into it. Time for some single leg stuff I suppose.

sounds familiar tbh.. when i get that weird thickness behind the knee, it really wrecks me for up to a week or so. if it's bad, have to stop training. usually it's mild/light, and i can train around it. that's why i mentioned popliteus. just seems too odd to be calf or hamstring, seems like something deep in there causing all kinds of weird referred pain and altering motor patterns. For me, it usually happens when I overstretch my hamstrings - which i've found to be when i also "overstretch my knee", ie straightening my leg out completely (perhaps even slightly hyper extending) while stretching hamstrings (ie after i've loosened them significantly). Seems like my hamstrings just protect me from triggering that problem, until I stretch them so much that I can straighten my leg out completely while in a stretch, seems like I trigger something in there. Doesn't really feel ligament related though, no real instability, just feels very weird & shuts me down.

dno. my experience with it, sounds potentially similar tho.

pc!

deserves its own thread!

this is pretty interesting.. never even thought of racing (officially) like this. seems like a different paradigm.. i love it.

tactics turned out the way they did in that race, but they could turn out completely different in other races. the fact that you can't be "last" on each lap, really changes everything.

light + light speed day.

eating light as you can see. had my eggs been fine, tonight would have been very light.

trying to get used to "less frequent" food... i feel so much different during my fasted runs, or if i haven't eaten for a while.

want to get "better" at running on "less food" or "not as frequent food", hence some of the fasted running lately.

eggs wrecked me. thought it was my taste buds at first but, they tasted fishy...... :(

feel awful after the pint of ice cream, but it made me feel good at the time. decided to down it to get my mind off the tainted eggs. lol. won't make this a frequent occurrence.

Small article about the mile race on Sunday. crazy numbers.

Hassan 4:14.71!

https://www.bringbackthemile.com/news/detail/sifan_hassan_wins_fast_mile_at_mueller_anniversary_games

Hassan is so impressive.

So is Houlihan. I personally think Houlihan could compete with the top miler/1500m elites. She's on fire, and her kick is mind blowing. She needs to do more of these big diamond league events.

can't believe raps gave up DeRozan for Kawhi..

such a weird trade. DeRozan seemed like a TOR-lifer, and I mean he definitely seemed worthy of it. He always showed up in the playoffs for raps as well.

Kawhi will be out of there after next year.. wtf?

awful trade.

This is definitely the weirdest move I've seen anyone make. Just did not make sense.

yup. I was "dumbfounded".. :f

Quote
I do think that once he gets over the initial shock, DeRozan should be happy to play under Pop. As someone who regularly struggles on the big stage this could be a good move for him. The downside is that he's now in the West with Lebron haha

right but that's the thing... no more LEBRON in the East.. and they trade him now? what? they have a chance to finally get out of the playoffs in the East (though philly is strong) and onto the NBA finals, and they trade him now? wtf? and the trade doesn't actually make their team better, nor does it set them up for the future (afaics). just an absolute garbage move IMHO.

this is a great reason why I support athletes, not teams and the team owners/management :D

I was listening to a few guys over the weekend and it seems TOR were going to rebuild and this will basically blow the team up. If you keep Kawaii that's a win. If you trade for him next season and get lots of goods in return that's also a win. I don't think Toronto were ever going to beat Boston anyway so maybe not a bad move. Shit way to deal with it but the strategy seems sound.

IMHO, they just needed a few more pieces to the existing squad.. veteran team, knows how to play well together, with a renewed fire now that LEBRON is in the West.. guaranteed better chances to make a run at the finals. Instead, they just set themselves back. I just don't see it. I don't think it'll work out well, at all. Definitely a blow up move.... but one that they won't recover from for quite some time, is my prediction.
